Not sure what this is, but hey, I updated No Strings Attached and Anything Goes today. I had a lot of free time. :)

--------

We got back from our trip to Anguilla only to be greeted with a mess of Christmas decorations still up in our apartment. I was immediately regretting putting it all up now. The worst part about Christmas is the aftermath of taking all the decorations down. It makes me sad, and it's tedious and annoying.

"Great, we still need to put all this away." Scott groaned, dropping all his luggage.

"I'm unpacking first and taking a nap. No way am I cleaning up now."

"Good, I don't feel like doing anything either."

After unpacking and a short 3 hour nap later, we were back up in the living room with freshly brewed coffee in our systems, analyzing the place and deciding on what to start with.

"How about we start with the small stuff, the stockings, wreath, lights, things like that, then work our way to the tree?"

"Orrrr, you do the small stuff and let the manly man take down the tree."

"Says the man wearing his onesie."

"It's batMAN. It's manly."

"Yes, of course, my manly man." I pecked him on the cheek and shoved him towards the tree while I got to work.

With Queen B playing in the background, we were both dancing and singing as we started pulling things down and packing them back up in boxes. It helped time pass by a little quicker. I did however, feel a little sorry for our neighbors. If they didn't know any Beyoncé lyrics, they sure do by now.

"You really had to pick out a 7ft tree Mitchie? There's so much shit on this thing, it's gonna take all day to take down."

I glared at him and chucked the wreath at him.

"Ouch!"

"Quit complaining Mr. manly man. And don't act like you didn't like looking at the tree. It was so pretty this year."

"We looked at it all of two weeks Mitch. We didn't even spend Christmas here. We are absolutely downgrading next year."

I rolled my eyes at him.

"Whatever."

"I better get some kind of reward for doing this."

"Seriously? You're such a damn whiny baby today."

"Okay. Rude."

"Well I'm already done with everything else and you're still on the tree. I think you've been complaining more than doing any actual work Scottie."

"Mitch. It's a seven.foot.tree. With a shit ton of ornaments and lights and garland and whatever this silver stringy stuff all over it is."

"It's tinsel dipshit. And if it means you'll stop moping I'll help you out, out of the goodness of my heart."

Scott rolled his eyes but didn't say anything. Smart choice. Especially since I really don't think he even touched the tree. Too busy singing, dancing, and complaining.

Scott grabbed the step stool to get the star off while I started on the ornaments.

It all sort of happened it slow motion. After putting an ornament away I turned back around to the tree and immediately saw Scott falling into the tree. My eyes went wide and the only thing I could do was stand there with my hands covering my mouth. He sort of bounced off the tree, now going backwards, with the tree then falling on top of him. They both fell to the ground with a huge thud, the sound of glass shattering from the ornaments, and a loud moan from Scott.

I tried so hard not to laugh, I really did, but it just slipped out.

"It's not funny." He grunted.

"I'm sorry," I said between breaths, "but it kind of is."

"Just please help me out."

"Okay okay."

I walked over to where he was on the ground, carefully avoiding the broken ornaments, and attempted to lift part of the tree off of him so he could crawl out. My laughing instantly stopped when I saw quite a few cuts covering Scott.

"Shit Scott, are you okay?"

He muttered a few cuss words under his breathe on his way out from under the tree before he replied to me.

"Peachy really, thanks."

"The one time I trust you and don't tell you to be careful, you fall." I kneeled down next to him and brushed some hair out of his face.

"I'm sure that's exactly what did it Mitchie."

"Alright, how about we leave this mess for later. I'll help clean you up and then we can talk about that reward again. Sound good?"

He wiggled his eyebrows at me.

"You'll be my sexy nurse who takes care of me?"

"I think I can do that." I bit my lip and winked at him as I helped pull him up to his feet.

"Are you gonna wear a costume?"

"Don't push it Scott." I grabbed his hand and pulled him into our bathroom.
