Chapter 5: meeting a new friend

It was night time and i couldnt sleep. I was so used to sleeping at home it was hard to sleep here. I opened my window and climbed through it. The house that my dad picked was down at the beach. I had forgotten to put shoes on, though i had changed into sorts and a t-shirt, but it was ok, since the cold sand felt nice on my feet. I walked for a long time. Then i saw a house. I turned around, and saw my house was a little ways out, and that i had walked longer than i thought. I didnt know anyone else live around here though. I saw another girl sitting on the beach. She was wearing a pretty sun dress with silver sandals. There was loud music coming from the house i saw people dancing past the windows. It was probably a party. I turned back to the girl. She had shoulder length blonde hair. It was curly. She looked kind of tan, probably from living by the beach. I sat down beside her. " whats wrong?" I asked. She sighed than said, " its my birthday. I told my parents i wanted it to just be us, you know, party of 3, but instead they made it like, a party of 30. " i understood what she meant. She wanted to spend quality time with her parents, but they decided to invite most of their friends over instead. I had been there. " well than ill hang out with you. Itll be a party of two instead. " she gave me a small smile. " i heard you just moved in nearby. " she said. I frowned. " i guess you dont like the idea? " i looked over at her for a moment. Then i said " yah. Im just kind of finding my way on the path called life. I feel like i somehow took a wrong turn, to cause this." She raised an eyebrow at me. " finding your way down the path called life? Took a wrong turn?" I nodded. " ill defiantly have to use that sometime. " after she said this, she waggled her eyebrows at me. We both burst out laughing. Once we calmed down, she said, " maybe ill go over to your house some time. " i smiled at her and said, " i think i might just like the idea of that." " by the way, my names jessica. You can call me jess." " im Ellie." I said

After this chapter the chapters will be published slower. The only reason i published chapters so quickly was because they were already written, since i have been working on the story before i put it on wattpad. I will still update as often as i can though. Hope your enjoying the book!
