Chapter 3 - The Reaping

I woke up the next day with Peeta by my side. He still has his arms wrapped around me. I took one of our pillows and threw it in his face. He jumped up and screamed, like if I was a attacking mutant.
>> Hahahha, did you have a nice sleep honey?<< I said in a sugar sweet tone and kissed him.
>> Yes, until I got attacked by a pillow.<< he answers.

I laughed and went up to wash my face.
I felt Peetas arms on my waists and I turned my head around and he kisses me. I turned around and are kissing him back, he lifted me up on the sink, while we are kissing. I am not really about what he wants, but I keep kissing him. His lips are tasting like cherry, probably because he always put on lip balm in the morning.
>> Should I order breakfast?<< Peeta asks me in his soft tone.
I nod my head and he went out of the room to call down to the kitchen.
>> Can you order pancakes with chocolate and strawberries?<< I asked him.
He turned and nodded and went back to the phone.

Three minutes after his phonecall it rang on the door. I was changing clothes for the day so I jumped into the bathroom while Peeta opened the door. He had a big tray with pancakes, muffins, bread and two cups of hot chocolate and a bowl with strawberries and one with melted chocolate.
I was starving so I jumped up at the bed on the left side of Peeta and took a pancake and put it in the chocolate with my bare hands. I put it in my mouth directly. Peeta laughed and took a piece of bread.
>> Taste this.<< Peeta said and dipped a strawberry into some chocolate and I opened my mouth and fed me with the strawberry.
>> That tasted good!<< I said and dipped some bread into my cup of hot chocolate.

Peeta and I went for a shower. We always share shower, because back home, we wants to save the hot water. During the time I shampooed my hair it knocked on the door. Peeta jumped out of the shower and wrapped a bath towel over his waist. I started to wonder who it was so I wrapped a bath towel around me and took a normal to dry off my hair while I walked to the door. Effie and Haymitch standed in the door, totally embarrassed over that both me and Peeta stood in towels.
>> Oh, we don't wanna disturb you, we just wanted to remind you about the time.<< Effie said totally blushed.
>> It's ok, we were just taking a shower.<< I answered, in hope that the they won't feel more embarrassed.
>> Can we meet you at the entrance in twenty minutes?<< Peeta asked.
>> Okay, just hurry otherwise you will be late for the reaping.<< Haymitch said as dragging Effie back to their room.

Peeta closed the door and started laughing.
>> Effie was totally embarrassed.<< he laughed.
>> Well we both was half naked so I think she has a reason to be embarrassed.<< I said.

We continued showering, put on son simple clothes and went down to the entrance where we are meeting Effie and Haymitch.

Peeta, Haymitch, Effie and I jumped into a car and went to the speech arena. President Paylor were already there and welcomed us.

A hour later er got eskorted to the scene by Effie. The two kids Peeta and I are about to coach are already standing in the front. The girl and boy tuned around when they heard Effie's heels, and the little girl had her mouth open and the boy looked at us with big eyes. I waved at them and gave them a smile, but they was like glued to the ground. We came to them, the girl put her hand across me, but I pushed it away lightly and gave her a big hug. She was in chock, but she answered the hug immediately. I felt her teardrops on my shirt, so I sat down besides her.
>> Don't be afraid, Peeta and I will do as much as it takes to help you through this.<< I said to her with a soft voice.
She nodded and looked up at the audience. I was so concentrated on comfort the little girl, so I walked towards the boy and gave him one big hug too. I told him the same thing as I told the little girl, and he nodded.
The girl must be like 13, the boy I think is 16 I think.

The time is come to pick up the tributes. Effie got the honor to pick out the tributes.
>> Welcome, welcome, to the celebration of the 78th annual hunger games. And before we begin, we are about to show you a very special film, brought to you from our mocking jay!<< Effie said with her very well known Capitol accent.

The film shown on big screens all around the speech arena. Well, I didn't know about this. It was me on all the screens around in Panem right now. I saw me, in a red mocking jay suit, the one we used for the propagandas during the war. I said:
>> We all have one enemy, and that's Snow. He corrupts everything. He turns the best of us against each other, happy hungergames, and may the odds be ever in your favor.<< I said at the screens and then there were clips of me in my "three" games. I felt Peeta's hand in mine.
>> I didn't know you did this.<< he whispered to me.
>> Neither do I.<< I said back.

>> Now we will select 8 boys and 8 girls for the honor of represent the rebellion in the last, and symbolic annual hunger games.<< Effie is chirping in the speakers.
>> Ladies first!<< she says. And pics up a little paper piece.
>> Diamond Glancé!<< she calls out in the speakers. The spotlight is finding a little 12 year old girl in the girls section. A girl in her early seventeens jumped out from her section and volunteered for her probably little sister. I saw myself in that seventeen year old girl. She got escorted to the stairs up to the scene by some militaries.

Effie went and picked up a paper piece from boys bowl.
>> Rubino Tenclancè!<< Effie screams out in the speakers.
The spotlight hits the boys section and a boy in his eighteens are stepping out from his place. He got escorted up to the scene by some militaries as well.
>> The first team in the symbolic hunger games! You both go and sit with your new managers, Scaft Louisville and Yosef Calfheeder.<< Effie says and they both go and sit with Scaft and Yosef.

Effie pics five other "teams" as she calls it, even if only one of these kids will come out of the arena.
The sixth team is a girl called Shimmer Redstown, around 13 years old and a big muscular boy, his name is Pearlshime Grind and are around 15 years old. The both gets escorted to Gale and Annie. Gale's team looks like they will be a good team together.

After the ceremony Gale walks up to me, I feel his warm lips against mine two seconds later. I step back, first confused. Then I feel the anger boil inside of me. I slap him and running away, crying for the first time of a very long time and Peeta starts to fight with him.
>> FIRST YOU KILLED MY GIRL'S SISTER AND NOW YOU TRY TO STEAL HER FROM ME?!<< Peeta screams as hitting him in his face. Two militaries take Peeta away from Gale and Gale glares at me. Shit now he's got into real trouble.

Well, well, well, how much trouble do u think Gale's gone into?
Peeta has started to be physical?
