"Now, you shouldn't be out here, should you?" The voice calls out to me, a very familiar voice.
They come closer, and that's when I see it, a mane of bright red hair, glowing in the wand light. "Charlie Weasley! You scared me."
"I've scared the Great Gidget? Wow." He chuckles, coming closer and enveloping me in a hug, great big brother material right here.
"Why are you out here? I thought you were in Romania."
"I could ask you the same thing." He says, releasing me from the bear hug.
"Well, I actually go to school here, and from what I know you graduated last year." I say, smirking. Why exactly is he here?
"I came to visit some Professors, and got caught up. I'll be going soon, but what about you? It's late and.." He pinches the material of my jumper between his fingers. "You're in your pajamas."
"Well, I was dared by your idiot brother to do this." I say, pulling my jumper back.
"Ron?"
"No, don't be mean." I say, hitting his arm. "Fred."
"Oh, Fred, yes. Course." He smirks. "Well, I should be going, I'll catch you later." We say our goodbyes- CRAP! Curfew!
I race up the last few steps to someone counting.
"Five... four..."
Couple more steps.... and ...I'm... through the portrait hole.
"One!"
"Made it!" I wheeze, bending over with my hands on my knees.
"Impressive." George says, patting my back.
"Here," I says regaining posture, as I toss the apple to Fred.
"Nice, free snack." He says, turning it over in his hand. "Hey! There's a bite mark taken out of it."
Pulling an innocent face, I answer, "I got hungry, I ran to the kitchen, from the seventh floor."
"Hmm." Fred hums, inspecting it as if there was a worm in it. After a minute he shrugs and takes a bite. "Tastes fine," he then wrinkles his nose "little sweaty."
"Yeah you dipstick, it was in my hand when I was running." I smirk, messing up his already messy hair.
We all lounge on the couches in front of the fire, and again I am placed next to Fred. Uncanny, eh?
"Well, seems like you made it just on time, but ... did you get caught?" Erin questions, leaning against Gideon, her head on his shoulder. Seriously? My God, can they just hurry up and admit they'd be a cute couple?!
Fred elbows me in the side, I look up at him, realizing I must've zoned out. "Ummm, yes and no?"
"Yes and no? What does that mean?"
"Not by a Professor, but I did bump in to your brother, Charlie." I say, Fred and George instantly look at me.
"Charlie? What's he doing here?" There brows furrow in confusion.
"Got no idea, he said he was seeing some Professors and stayed a bit late, was a very short conversation, so I don't know much."
"Interesting." Fred adds, "Well, I think I'll go to bed now, I'll see you later." He casts me a glance before heading off. George says good night as he follows his brother to their dormitory.
My heart aches a little, I didn't want him to go, but why? Why all of a sudden have I been feeling this way?
"I think I'll head off too." I say, jumping up. "Hey, Hogsmeade trip is this weekend, are you guys going?"
