"So, where to, m'lady?" Fred says as we wander through the snow-covered streets of Hogsmeade. Every couple have gone their separate ways, which I don't mind. It's nice just being alone, just the two of us.
"I overheard that there's a joke shop somewhere called Zonko's." I say, looking around, my arm still holding on to his.
"And by overheard you mean eavesdropped?" Fred smirks, intrigued.
"Naturally. I think it's up ahead."
We walk a bit further till we stop in front of a store with a bright red front, and through the window there are a million different items being displayed on the shelves, hanging from the roof or flying through the store.
"Come on!" I say, excitedly, grabbing Fred's hand and pulling him through the door as he laughs.
"This is so cool! Look at these- and this! And that...- oh my god! These are so awesome!" I say, pointing to everything as we walk past, feeling like a little kid again.
"Woah!" Fred pulls me over over to a glass cabinet. "It's a dungbomb, creates the foulest smelling stench. I've always wanted to try one. It's in there because it leaves marks on your hands, wouldn't want kids playing with it I guess. One of the hardest objects to prank with as you can be caught red-handed." He says, pressing his face against the glass. Little whispers of his breath fog up the glass.
"I've heard. That and I've managed to pull them off on some unsuspecting passersby over the holidays." Fred's mouth drops open.
I smirk, I've surprised him. How do I manage to keep surprising people? They should know what I am capable of by now. "...Should we stock up?" I suggest, changing the subject before he can get too curious, can't go spilling all my secrets at once, he'll just have to wait. Fred's ears prick up at this- gullible- and he turns to me with a grin. We rush, grabbing a basket each and filling them with all sorts of things.
We then go and collect some ingredients for future experiments, I can feel this is going to be a great year already!
"Two butterbeers please." Fred says to Madame Rosmerta- who has resided from her busy chat with customers, to behind the bar- as we walk in to the Three Broomsticks.
We take a seat in the first table we see, well the only table really for it's so packed.
"Mmmm, that's good, nothing like this over in Australia." I say, wrapping my hands tightly around my glass of butterbeer after the first sip.
"So, you never have really told us about Australia." Fred says, taking a sip of his butterbeer, I can't help but giggle because he now how a butterbeer moustache. "... What?" He asks in confusion, he starts wiping all over his face, everywhere except his upper lip. Reaching over, I wipe his moustache away with my thumb, moving back to my seat I see Fred staring at me.
"Oh.. thanks." He blushes, lowering his head.
I smile and place my hand on top of his, "Anytime." He looks up at our touching hands, not moving his away but instead enclosing my hand in his and smiling.
...
"Honeydukes!" We both sing out as we run up to the front of the store, hand in hand mind you.
Walking in I abruptly stop, the inside is bigger than the outside! I love when that happens! There are shelves upon shelves full of lollies in every colour, shape and size imaginable, some as small as a pin and others larger than my head.
"Woah." Fred echoes my thoughts as we stand there, taking in the magical atmosphere. We drift through every aisle, picking up the brightest and most interesting looking things; acid pops, exploding bonbons, bertie bott's every flavour beans, pepper imps and sugar quills to name a few from our abundant load.
