Ross's P.O.V
It's been a week and Laura and I still aren't talking. She agreed to stay on Austin & Ally. But she asked Eric for a few weeks home so she could sort things out. I don't blame her. I understand why she doesn't want to talk. Eric let us all have the same amount of time off because we can't do Austin & Ally without Laura.
I miss her. A lot. It's gonna take forever to get over being in love with my best friend. I just wish Laura felt the same way. We'd be perfect together. I could imagine it. The perfect Disney couple.
I suppose i should just get over it. There are plenty of other fish in the sea. I got snapped out of my thoughts by Rocky snapping his fingers in my face. "Dude? What are you doing?" He asked. "Nothing" I said quickly, shoving a pancake into my mouth. Rydel looked at me. "Why are you staring at me like that?" I asked, freaked out. "No reason" She stayed staring for a few more seconds and then turned away, laughing. "Band rehearsals tonight guys, don't forget. Oh my god, I'm so excited to be going back to Australia!" Riker smiled big. We all agreed. "Australia was perfect!" Rocky said.
After we'd all eaten, i went upstairs to my room. Ryland was out with some friends so I had the room to myself for the day. I decided i needed to speak to Laura. So i decided to call her. I was tapping my foot on the floor whilst it was ringing. Suddenly, a sweet voice i hadn't heard for a week filled my ears.
"Hello?" She asked, she sounded tired. "Hi.." I said softly. "Why did you call me?" She asked. "I need to talk to you, it's urgent!" I sounded pushy, but i did really need to talk to her. "What about?" She asked again, she didn't seem bothered. "Not over the phone.. face-to-face" I said. She went quiet for few moments. "Okay" She said. "Meet me at the park" I said and hung up the phone. I got dressed and went to the park. I was sat on one of the swings when she approached me.
Laura's P.O.V
I smiled lightly and sat on the swing next to him. Knowing that i like him too makes it more awkward because he's probably already over me and who'd want to date me? Especially an attractive dude like Ross.
"Listen.." He started. "I hate the way things have been between us lately" "Me too" I agreed. "I'm so sorry for the way i acted, Laura. Sorry for being a jerk" He said nicely. "I'm sorry too. I didn't mean to over-react. I guess i was just a little mad" I said. "Can we at least be friends?" He asked. I got a shiver down my spine. I didn't want to just be friends anymore. I wanted to be more than friends. "Um.. Ross?" I started. This is gonna kill me saying this but it will be worth it if he still feels the same way.
"Yeah?" He answered, looking directly at me. "Um.. do you still feel the same way about me?" I asked. He stayed quiet for a few seconds. Then he finally nodded. "Of course. I'm crazy about you. It's gonna take me forever to get over you" He said. I smiled lightly. "Listen.. I think I may feel the same way about you.." I said. He suddenly looked at me again. "You're serious?" He asked, he seemed a little happy. "Yeah.. Rydel was speaking to me last week and she asked me if I felt the same way.. and I did, when you were with that girl, I got really jealous. I wished it was me!" I said.
His smile turned bigger. "You really like me?" He asked. I nodded. I grabbed her hands and looked into her eyes. "I'm so glad you feel the same way" he smiled. I looked into his gorgeous eyes. I could have melted right there and then. He stared directly into mine.
We got lost in eachothers eyes and we both started to lean in.
