Laura's P.O.V
Riker stood there, as quiet as anything, the few, occasional tears slipped from his eyes. I looked to Ross who just looked at me. "Riker." Ross said. His head shot up. "Yeah?" He wiped as many tears away as possible. "Laura and I are willing to forgive you.." He said. I smiled a little. "Really?!" He screamed. Luckily, Marie didn't hear it. "But-" Ross started. Riker looked at us. "You can't do anything to Laura. And those things include kissing, hugging or sharing your feelings." He said. Riker looked at me then at Ross again. "And, lastly, you can't be alone with Marie unless one of us are with you. Okay?" He said. Riker sighed and nodded.
"Thanks so much, guys." He almost started crying. "Well, we can't not talk forever and ever. I know what you did was heart-breaking and horrible, but you're family.." Ross smiled a little. "Thanks, bro. Thank you, Laur. You won't regret this. I love you both!" He screamed, hugging us tight. He pulled away and left.
"Did we do the right thing??" I asked, un-sure. He sighed and nodded. "I guess so. I mean, we would have had to have forgiven him sooner or later. So i guess this is our chance for him to prove he's really sorry." He told me. "I guess you're right." I smiled. He kissed me softly. "Comeon, lets get back to bed. Marie will be up soon." I told him. He nodded and we went to bed.
I got woken up by the sound of Marie crying. I groaned and went to get up, when i felt myself being pushed back. "No, baby. I'll get this one." Ross smiled. He leaned down and kissed me and then got up. "Thankyou." I said, still half asleep. He left the room and a few minutes later, Marie was quiet, guess Ross was feeding her.
Three Months Later.
Ross's P.O.V
So far, so good. Everything that happened has slowly been leaving our memories, but not fully. Riker has been great. He's constantly giving Marie cuddles and playing with her, he's the greatest uncle.
Marie can now crawl around and she's literally grabbing anything she can put her hands on. She doesn't wake up as much during the night. Maybe once or twice? I don't know but it's not many.
"Ross, Rydel just called and said Stormie invited us to dinner. We should get going now, It's already 4pm." Laura told me. I nodded. "Alright. I miss mom's homecooked dinners anyway." I smiled at the thought of her sweet potato pie.
Laura got Marie ready and placed her in the carseat. I shoved on my converse and Laura shoved on some wedges. It was raining so we grabbed our jackets and went to the car. She put Marie in and we both went to the front and climbed in. I started the engine and drove to mom and dad's.
I pulled up in the drive and climbed out with Laura. Laura grabbed Marie and we knocked on the door. We heard shuffling and mom opened the door. "Ross! Laura!" She squealed, hugging is both. "Aw, and little Marie. Oh my stars, she's gorgeous." She smiled. We walked in and got greeted by everyone. Stormie still had the little room for Marie, so we put Marie up there to play.
"Mmm. What smells good?" I asked. "That would be mom's famous potato pie." Rydel grinned. "Yes!" I screamed. Everyone looked at me. "I- I mean.. yes, because i was thinking about it earlier.." I saved myself. Phew. "Right.." Ryland laughed. "Yo bro, it's not the same without my room mate." He sighed. "Aw well, you find a girlfriend and move out." I chuckled. "I--" Ryland went to say something but mom butted in. "My baby Ryland won't be moving out anytime soon, he's only 16." She smiled, kissing his dimple in his cheek. "Mom." He whined, wiping her kiss off of his cheek.
We all took our seats at the table. It was pretty awkward, I'm not gonna lie. "So.." Ratliff said, looking around. Riker scratched the back of his neck. Rocky was tapping his foot on the floor, Rydel was sat with her chin in the palm of her hand. "How has everyone been?" Laura broke the silence. Everyone shrugged. "Same old, same old." Rocky said. "Oh.." She replied. Then the awkward silence came floating back. Suddenly, to save the silence, Mom came in with her famous potato pie. "Dinner's served!" She yelled, placing the food on the table, along with fresh baked bread and butter.
"Oh, that smells so good." I got all excited. I haven't had mom's sweet potato pie for ages. We all took some and dug in.
We finished eating and put our dishes in the dishwasher. "Thanks mom.. " I smiled. "Well, we better leave.." Laura announced. "Do you have to go?" Riker pouted. I shot him a look and he looked the other way. "Yeah.." Laura said. "Don't you wanna stay for a bit?" I asked. "You stay." She smiled. "I'll leave Marie here with you and you can come home when you're ready." She said. "Oh.. well, it's dark.. should i just come home with you? I don't want anything happening because you're walking." I said, grabbing her hand. She shook her head. "I'll be fine, baby. Honest." She smiled. I nodded. "Okay.." Although i didn't really want her to go alone whilst it's dark. But I didn't wanna force myself to go with her, because she seemed pretty stressed out, I didn't wanna make it worse by pressuring her.
She kissed me softly. "I'll see you back at the house." She smiled and left.
Laura's P.O.V
It was quite dark, i must admit. I have to walk down a really dark alley to get home, and it's freezing. But the thought of a nice, hot bubble bath was keeping me going. I walked through the alley to see two hooded figures at the bottom.
I just shook it off and carried on walking when one of them walked infront of me, grabbing my wrist. I jumped at the touch. "Remember us?" One of them smirked. I shook my head. "N-No... not ringing a bell." I said softly, trying not to get on their bad side. "Well, you're the chick that got our main man in jail." The other one said.
I managed to release myself from their grip. "Well, i dont remember either of you.." I said, although when they said main man in jail, i kind of had a rough idea. I went to leave. "Well, where are you going? Why don't you tell us why you sent our homie to jail." They said. "Why don't you just leave me alone? I don't care about Leon, alright. And you two are the filthy scums that helped Leon rape Rydel. So I don't want you anywhere near me." I spat and went to walk away, when they stopped me.
"I wouldn't be so cocky, we're in a dark alley, at 9pm. You don't wanna know." He gave me grin. I rolled my eyes. "Just let me go home please. I don't want to see you guys anymore, okay. Not after what you fucking did to my bestfriend." I told them. They backed away but stood infront of me.
"So, why did you fucking marry that gay idiot?" One of them said, smirking. "That 'gay idiot' is my husband. Don't you fucking dare talk about him that way!" I shouted. "Well babe, Leon wants you. He called us from jail the other day and told me that the police were letting him out early on probation." He grinned.
My heart dropped to my stomach. "He.. He's coming out? When?" I gulped, i was getting really scared. "Tomorrow." He smiled. I almost threw up. I felt so scared, i started to shake. "Well.. I don't want to be anywhere near him.." I was almost crying, i went to walk off when they shouted behind me.
"Leon will get you." I turned around and looked at them. "What do you mean?" I said. "He told us he wants you. And he's gonna get you, one way or another, pretty girl." He said, i could hear the evilness in his voice. It sent shivers down my spine. "Well, he can try. Because my heart belongs with Ross. And he'd never ever let Leon near me. So good luck." I spat. "Oh.. and Leon told us he shot you. Let's see the scar." One of them grinned, they both grabbed me and shoved me against the wall. They forcefully threw my shirt off and just stared at me. "Damn, you're sexy. I can see why Leon wants you." He smirked. I started to cry. One of them kissed my neck softly and left me shirtless. I felt physically sick.
I got inside and slammed the door. I threw my face in my hands and started to cry. I ran upstairs to the bathroom and grabbed my old friend.
I went to slice my wrist when Ross walked in.
I know those last few scenes weren't nice at all. And sorry if you didn't like this chapter. But this is the way for me to introduce Leon back in.
