Chapter 29 Birthday

"Alllli" Josh whines. "It's too early Josh" I say. "Alli wake up! It's your birthday" Josh says while he jumps on the bed. "Stop jumping on the bed and go away" I say. "Someone's cranky in the morning" Josh says with the half smirk. "Am not. I haven't had my morning coffee yet" I say to him. "Alllli" he says again. "Jooosh" I say mimicking him. "Al get up. Coffees on the counter" he says sight the half smirk. I got up and ran to the kitchen. Josh followed behind me. I looked around the kitchen and living but didn't find coffee anywhere. "Josh where's my coffee?" I ask. He walks overs and opens a cupboard and takes out a steaming Starbucks cup. He takes a sip of it and drank all of it. "Josh you don't mess with a girls coffee. Especially this girl" I say pouting. He goes over to the micro wave, opens it and takes out another coffee. Josh holds it out towards me then pull it back. He slowly starts to bring it up to his lips. "You better not drink my fucking coffee" I yell. He hands me the coffee and I drink it all. "I'm all good now" I say.

"Happy Birthday babe" Josh says as he hugs me. He kisses me on the lips. "Oh and Josh?" I say. "Yeah Al?" He says. "No birthday beatings" I say while looking him in the eyes. "Aw but Alli" he says pouting. I stick my tongue out at him. "Kidding. I was planning something else" he says. "And what's that?" I ask. "We'll instead of birthday beats you get birthday kiss" he says smiling. I like that idea. "You might be like 80 though" he says. I stick my tongue out at him. "Deal, on one condition." I say with an evil smirk. "And what's that condition?" He asks. "Let me redo your hair" I say expecting him to say no. "Okay" he says. "Time for your first birthday kiss". He leans in and kisses me on the lips. While kissing me he grabs the blue hair dye from the cupboard above my head. "Can you do you hair like you did in the performance scene of 'By Now'?" I ask. "Let's make this more fun. " he says. "You do my hair and clothes. And I do yours." He says. "Deal" I say dragging him into the bathroom.

Josh puts the the toilet seat down and sits on it. I mix the hair dye and set it on the counter. I walk over to him"do you want the pieces in the back blue again" I ask while I play with the faded blue pieces. He nods his head. I walk back over to the sink and grab the hair dye. I brush it on the pieces in the back he wants dyed. "Bangs too?" I ask as I set the bowl of dye on the counter. He nods. I grab a headband and put it over Josh's hair that he doesn't want dyed. "I hope you know you have a lazy girlfriend who's gonna sit on you while she dyes your hair because she's lazy and it her birthday." I say. Josh pats his lap and motions for me to sit.

I brush hair dye on the first piece of his bangs. After I brush the color on I cover it in tinfoil. Josh kisses my lips while im trying to concentrate. I grab the next piece, put dye on it and cover it with tinfoil. I finish doing his bangs. "Alli?" Josh asks. I turn around and look at him. "Can I dye your hair?" He ask "not the whole thing just the tips" he adds. "I guess so" I say say.Josh stands up and motions for me to sit where he was. I sit down on the toilet while Josh grabs the hair dye from the counter. "Don't get the dye on anything but the hair" I say to him. Josh comes and sits on me like I did to him "Joosh get up! Your heavy" I whine. "You calling me fat?" He asks. I stick my tongue out at him. "Your getting punished for that" Josh says and he leaves the room and goes to the living room. "Al come here" he says. I just stand in the bathroom.

He comes in, grabs my hand and drags me in the living room. He turns on music from the stereo and pulls me closer to him. He wraps his arms around my waist and I wrap mine around his neck. He begins to sing 'Porcelain'

I press my lips against his when he finishes singing. He pulls away and we go back into the bathroom. He sits back down on the toilet and I sit on his lap. I hand him the hair dye. He starts to put the blue hair dye on the tips of my hair. He's so focused he doesn't notice me brush my cheeks against his cheek or lips a few times. By the time he finishes putting the dye in my hair it's time to rinse his out. We rinse the dye out of his hair, then mine. After the color is rinsed out we go and eat leftover pizza for lunch while our hair dries.

After our hair is dry and we eat out pizza we go back into the bathroom. I straighten and style Josh's hair first. He decides he going to start with my makeup first. He puts concealer on my red spots and under eyes. He sweeps a light eyeshow on my lids and does winged eyeliner. He puts on some mascara and blush. "No lipstick. I don't want coloured lips when I kiss you" he says smiling. He straightens my hair since its the easiest thing for him to do.

I grab the clothes Josh wore in the performance scene of the By Now video. Josh goes to the bathroom and I got to the bedroom to get changed. I go out before Josh and stand in the living facing the balcony. Josh comes up behind me and wraps his arms around me from behind and kisses my cheek. He grabs my hand and slowly turns me around.

"You look amazing Alli" He says before he crashes his lips against mine.
