Chapter 32 Air

I let him cry into my shoulder. Corlynn was still in with Miles. Mike and Ian had just shown up. When Josh heard their voices he sat up. He want over and hugged Ian, Mike and Matt. They all helped comfort him and tell him Miles will be okay. Josh went back in the room with Corlynn. I gave Ian and Mike a hug "that really crushed him" Ian said. I nodded. "He's been crying for almost 2 hours." I say. "Oh wow" Mike says "we'll go get you guys something to eat." Ian and Mike say. "Thanks guys! Ill go check and see if Josh and Corlynn want anything" I say as I walk down the hall. I look in the windows of the doors until I see blue hair. I quietly open the door and go in the room. Josh is on one side of the bed and Corlynn is on the other, their both holding Miles hands. I go behind Josh and give him a hug. His eyes are red from crying. I look over and see Miles in the hospital bed, lying there lifelessly. "The guys offered to go get food, do you to want anything?" I ask. "I'll have a coffee please" Corlynn says. I look over to Josh. "No" he says lowly. "Josh.." I say. "You need to eat." I look at him. "I'll have a muffin I guess" he says. I nod and leave the room.

I walk back down the hall to Mike and Ian. "Corlynn wants a coffee and Josh wants a muffin" I say. "Alright, you want your usual?" Mike asks. I nod. The hug me goodbye and leave the hospital. I sit in the waiting room until talking with Matt until they come back. Matt and I eat our food while Ian takes Corlynn and Josh their food. Ian comes back down the hall and says him and Mile have to leave. I thank him for the food before he leaves. Matt and I continue to talk until he says he has to go. I give him a hug before he leaves. Once he's gone I walk back down the hallway to room 712 where Miles is. Josh and Corlynn are still sitting where they were before.

Josh was still crying, Corlynn had stopped. Corlynn asked if she could talk to me in the hallway for a second. I nod and follow her out of the room. "You should take him out to get some air." She says. "Maybe it'll help him stop crying" I say. We go back in the room. Corlynn goes and sits down beside Miles and grabs his hand. I kneel beside Josh. "Baby c'mon" I say. "What?" He says softly. "You need some fresh air" I say as I stand up and stick my hand out. Josh grabs my hand and stands up. Before leaving the room we give Corlynn a hug. Josh and I leave room 712 hand in hand and walk down the hall to the exit.

Josh squeezed my hand once we got outside. "Lets go for a walk" I whisper to him. We walked down the street to a field. We walked across the field until we got to a spot where nobody was. We continued walking and found a waterfall. We decided to stop there. Josh was sit shedding a few tears but not many compared to earlier. I saw down under a tree and motioned for him to come sit too. He came over and sat in front of me looking into my eyes. I reached towards his face to wipe the tears away. He pulled me onto his lap and wrapped his arms around me. I looked up at his and pecked his lips. "I love you" I whispered. "Love you too" he said while wiping his tears. I began to hum the intro to 'Beside You' I began to sing

Josh finally stopped crying. He pulled me closer to him. "Thank you so much" He said softly. "Thank you for putting up with me today. I've been crying most of the day and not wanting to be around anyone. You comforted me all day no matter what I did or said. You let me cry on your shoulder and not show you much attention and affection. Thank you Al. Thanks for being there for me." He said before he pressed his lips to mine. I smiled and pulled away. "A wise man once wrote a song called 'Beside You' it describes today perfectly. What ever happens I'm always gonna be beside you. You were there for me with the pregnancy and many other times, so I was there for you." I say. Josh hugs me and then stands up.

He goes over towards the water fall. He takes his converse and sock off and set them on a rock. Josh dips his feet in the water. He goes back over by the rock and slips his jacket and shirt off. He them undoes his pants and takes them off so he's only in his superman boxers. "Come on Al" he says as he runs in the water. I go over and feel the water. It's kinda cold. I start to take my shoes off when Josh comes over. He slips my shirt and shorts off and picks me up bridal. He carries me until we are almost at the waterfall. We both go underwater. Josh kisses me underwater before he pulls me over to the waterfall. He picks me up and crashes his lips to mine.
