"Alright, this is the first day of film, so we're not going to get to into anything," the professor says standing at the front of the room. She leans against the front of her bulky wooden desk.
"I'm Professor Zola, but just call me Erin," she says. Her blond hair is tied up in a tight bun and she wears small framed glasses that cover her blue eyes. She's wearing a t-shirt and skinny jeans and seems to only be about thirty at most.
"So what are your names?" she asks. "There's only thirty of you. I could probably remember your names."
We all introduce ourselves to her and the class. She nods and tries to remember our names like a game we used to play in elementary school with the teacher on the first day.

"Alright, well, this class period is over. You can all go," she says motioning toward the door. We all get up and start filing out of the classroom. I pull out my phone and text Lasercorn.
Hey, are you doing anything. I kinda need a ride back to my apartment from my college campus...
I sit down on a bench facing a basketball court, where a few guys are scrimmaging.
   I can't. I'm at work. Sorry!
Who am I suppose to ask now. I'm not walking to my apartment. I wonder if Mark is doing anything. I call Mark to see what he's up to.
   "Hello?" he asks.
"Hey, Mark!" I say in a happy tone.
"Oh, hey, Ella," he says. "What's up?"
"I was wondering if you could come pick me up from my college campus. Lasercorn couldn't give me a ride and I don't exactly have a car," I explain.
"Yeah. Sure, I'll be there soon," he says.
   "Okay. Bye."
   "Bye."

Mark pulls up in the parking lot nearest to the bench I'm sitting on. He honks the horn and I turn around. He smiles and waves at me. I get up from the bench and make my way over to his car. I open the door and get in, buckling my seat belt.
"So, why couldn't Lasercorn come get you?" he asks. "Not that I mind coming to pick you up."
"Work," I say. He nods and pulls out of the parking lot.
"Do you have work later today or-"
"Oh... Yeah. I have work at one," I say. Mark looks at the time.
"That's in a half hour. Do you want me to bring you to work?" He asks. I think for a second then nod.
"If it wouldn't be any trouble."
"Oh no. No trouble at all," he says reassuringly.

We pull up at Smosh Games HQ and I reach for the door handle. Mark grabs my shoulder before I can open the door. I turn to him and let go of the door handle.

"What is it, Mark?" I ask him. He lets go of my shoulder and looks down shyly. "Hey. What's up?" I grab his hand in a reassuring gesture. He looks up and smiles at me.
"Nothing. Never mind. You should get to work," he says. I smile and turn back to the door and pop it open.
"Wait," he says. I leave the door open and turn back to him. In a split second, Mark's lips are on mine. He puts his hands on the side of my head and pulls me closer. He pulls away, breathing heavily. "That's what I've wanted to do since we recorded together, and I couldn't wait until our date, the next day you have off."
I smile at him and say nothing. "My next day off is Saturday." I get out of the car and close the door.

I walk inside the building and up to my office. I see Lasercorn and Joven whispering and looking at me. I walk over to them.
"Secrets don't make friends," I tease. They both chuckle awkwardly. "What? Did I miss something?"
"Well, kinda... Not really. You were there," Lasercorn says rudely, crossing his arms. I give him a confused look.
"You wanna stop with the riddles and just tell me what's going on?" I cross my arms and look at him, then to Joven.
"Lasercorn saw you kissing Mark," Joven blurts out.
"But why would you be upset? I mean, Mark and I have been hanging out and stuff lately. I thought you would be okay with this. You didn't seem to have a problem with us being together before," I say to Lasercorn.
"I like you, Ella! You're almost as blind as Joven!" Lasercorn yells. I back away from him. "You're blind if you don't see that I like you! You were like this in high school too, blind as a fucking bat!"
   "I-I," I stutter.
"You, you, what? Spit it out."
"I'm sorry," I whisper and run to my office. I lock the door behind me and slide down it, bringing my knees to my chest and hugging them. "I'm sorry," I whisper again.

A/N: Sorry this update took so long. I've been super busy lately and haven't had time to be on Wattpad or write anything in general. I'll try to update more often now that things have sort of settled down in my life. I'll try to start updating regularly.
