"Shut up, Ella, you got the internship," My roommate, Louise, says as we sit down at our usual table in a small coffee shop a few blocks from our apartment.
"I'm not so sure, Louise," I say.
"El, they'd be stupid not to give you the internship," she says reassuringly. "You're the only person in all of Upper Michigan that knows everything about computers, from every single part of the system to every single function on the actual computer."
"Thanks, Lou," I say. She nods.
"What can I gotcha?" David, the cute waiter that has a crush on Louise, asks. Louise twirls her curly, brown hair and bats her eyelashes at him as she tells him her order. He fixes his long, black hair a few times while taking her order. Her smiles brightly at me.
"What can I getcha, Ella?"
"Oh, uh, just a black coffee," I say. He nods and writes it down on his notepad.
"Alright, I'll be right back," He says flashing another smile at Louise and walking away. She blushes and smiles.
"He likes you," I mention. Her face turns even more red.
"No he doesn't," she denies.
"Com'on, Lou, he totally likes you. You'll be married by the time my internship in L.A. is over," I joke.
"Oh, speaking of L.A. I have a question for you," she says. I nod at her to go on. "Why'd you decide to get an internship in L.A.?"
"Well, Smosh Games seemed like a good place to get a good internship and I'll be working on editing videos and recording them and it'll be good for my film classes. Besides, I'm starting college there anyway."
She gasps. "You're going to college there! You didn't tell me that!"
"I didn't want you to freak. I'll be back in the summer," I say nonchalantly. Her mouth hangs open.
"I'm going to be without my Ella-Bear until next summer!"
"That's even if I get the internship," I remind her.
"You're going to get it!" she says lying her head down on the table dramatically. "You're too good with computers to pass up."

24 hours earlier
Lasercorn's P.O.V.
"Lasercorn, Sohinki, Joven," Ian says walking into the recording room. We stop what we're doing and look at him. "We have a few interviews for an intern that we need you to handle."
Anthony walks into the room with some papers in his hands. He hands them to Sohinki.
"Those are some questions you guys can ask, or if you come up with your own you can ask them. There's also a piece of paper with the Skype address of a few people that can't be here physically, but take care of the ones that are here right now first, then Skype the others," Anthony explains. "Now, Ian and I have got to run, but we're trusting you with this."
"You can count on us. By us I mean, Sohinki and I, not Joven," I say with a small chuckle.
"Hey!" Joven says in an offended tone. Sohinki and I laugh and walk out of the room. Joven follows behind us ranting about how mean we are.
We walk into the small conference room and sit on one side of the table. Joven calls one of the people in.
A man walks in. He has gauged ears and black hair that's spiked. He's wearing a black t-shirt with Yoshi on it. He sits down and stares at us like a lost puppy.
Sohinki asks the basic questions like "why do you want to work here?" and "why do you feel like you should get this internship?"
Then we ask the questions we really want to ask. Like their favorite video games and other things along those lines.
He walks out.
"I don't like him. He's too... Odd. Not that it's bad to be different he just gives me a weird vibe," Sohinki says. Joven and I agree.

"Time for the Skype calls," Joven says setting up his own laptop on the table. He messages a girl named Ella Mitchell. Weird, I went to school with a girl of that name. We were best friends. Probably not the same one though.
"Alright, Ella, says to give her like five minutes, then call," Joven says.

Ella pops up on the screen. It can't be. That's the Ella Mitchell from high school! I wonder if she remembers me. She smiles awkwardly, waiting for one of us to say something. She's just like she was in high school. The same straightened light brown hair. Big thick glasses that sit on her face nicely and she's wearing a Superman t-shirt.
"Oh, uh, sorry for the lack of, you know, looking good. I just got home from work and it was a really rough day," She says shyly. Sohinki's says that that's okay and we continue with the interview.
"So, why do you want this internship?" Joven asks.
"Well, I'm in college for film and I think that this will be a good opportunity to start actually editing videos for people and not just playing around with videos that I record of my friends," she says.
"So, you have recording and editing experience?" Sohinki asks. She nods.
"Yeah, I have my own YouTube channel, but I've only got like a hundred subscribers. I edit and record all of my videos without any help," She says smiling proudly.
"Can we know the name of your channel?" I ask out of the blue.
"Oh, it's, Ella-BearDoesGaming," she says.
"Ella Bear?" Joven asks.
"Its something my best friend used to call me," she says. You can see the sadness in her eyes. My leaving had made her really depressed for a while, but I couldn't go back. I knew I belonged at Smosh Games.
"Ella Bella!" a girl sing-songs in the background. "I've got McDonald's!"
"Louise, I'm kinda busy," Ella says. Another girl appears on screen.
"Who are they?" she asks.
"I'm interviewing for an internship," she says. She looks at the screen apologetically. "So, Louise... Get out."
"Alright, alright," Louise says holding her hands up in defense walking off screen.
"Sorry," she says to us.
"Its cool. That was mildly entertaining," I say with a slight laugh.
"So what's your favorite game or games?" I ask already knowing the answer. Minecraft, Sims, and Pokemon.
"Um, probably, Minecraft, Sims, and Pokemon," she says. Called it. Sohinki nods. For the rest of the Skype call Ella starts to open up more and becomes more and more hilarious. She has all three of us laughing and is cracking jokes for the rest of the Skype call. When we finally hang up and we all look at each other.
"We have to hire her," we say in unison.
