"Ella, I have the best news!" Lasercorn runs into my office. I laugh and spin around in my chair, taking out my headphones in the process.
"What's the best news?" I ask. Lasercorn holds up an envelope addressed to himself. "And that is?"
"Two tickets to... Guess what they're for," he says.
"Um, a concert if some sort?" He nods.
"What concert?" He asks. "It's one of your favorite bands."
"Fall Out Boy?" He shakes his head. "Neon Trees?"
"Wrong again," he says. "Com'on you love them!"
I stand up finally knowing the answer. "Panic! At The Disco?!"
"Ding. Ding. Ding. We have a winner," he says.
"Oh my god, David, thank you!" I say hugging him. He hugs me back.
"Well, I know you like them a lot, so I decided that this would be a fun thing for us to go to together," he says. I smile at him.
"Do you listen to Panic! At The Disco?" I ask.
"No, but I know you like them, so how bad can they really be?" he asks rhetorically.
"This is so exciting! I've only been to one other concert in my life. When is it?" I ask.
"Next week," he says. I scream in excitement.
"And you're just now telling me?" I ask.
"Yeah, well, I didn't know if you wanted to go and we were all pretty busy, so I never got around to asking," he says.
"You're like the best friend ever!" I hug him again.
"Yeah," he says. "Best friend."
"You are, Dave. I can't believe this. I have to tell-. Never mind," I say quickly.
"Tell who?" he asks, but quickly realizes what I was going to say. "Mark?"
"Yeah, but, I dunno. That might not be the best idea," I say quietly, the excitement finally passes through me.
"Why not?" Lasercorn presses. He knows, he just wants to hear it from me. I can see the anger in his eyes, but he knows he can't get angry because we aren't dating nor are we a "thing" or any sort.
"It's nothing," I say. "I'm just so excited about the concert."
"Alright," he says starting to leave my office. "What ever you say, El."
I go back to editing and listening to music. My phone buzzes next to me. I pick it up. I see Mark texted me.

Hey, El. I was wondering if you wanted to record after you're done with work? I wanted to play the custom nights that were added to FNaF Sister Location tonight.

Sure :D Sounds like fun. I'm done with work in an hour. I can just drive to your house after I'm done here.

How are you gonna drive? You don't have a car..?

Oh! I forgot to tell you, the Smosh Games crew pitched in and got me a car the other day. I was so excited I forgot to tell you.

Oh. That's fine. I'm glad you have a car now, must be more convenient for you.

It is. Alright, well, I have some more work to do, but I'll see you in... An hour-ish?

See you.

After work, I walk down into the recording room to say bye to the guys and Mari. I peek my head in and see they're recording for Maricraft, the Christmas edition.
"I'll see you tomorrow, guys," I call into the room.
"Bye," everyone says in unison, too focused on their tasks in the game. I chuckle and close the door behind me. I walk passed the office of the Smosh Squad. Shayne waves as I walk by. I don't talk to them as much, but ever since the first Gamebang 2.0 I've gotten to know them all a little better since most of them were in it. Courtney runs out of the office, phone in hand, vlogging.
"Say hi, Ella," she says pointing the camera at me.
"Oh, uh, hey," I say waving.
"She's just a little shy," Courtney says laughing a bit. "Ella, I'm doing a little survey because I'm curious. DC or Marvel?"
"Definitely DC," I respond.
"Oooh. Favorite superhero?" she asks.
"Aquaman," I say. She makes a fake disgusted face.
"Weirdo," she giggles. "Thanks, Ella. Now to go ask the rest of Smosh Games!" She skips down the hall. I smile and shake my head, walking out of the building and to my car.

I drive to Mark's house and knock on the door. He opens it with a big grin on his face.
"Come on in," he says. "Oh, wait, give me your phone and anything else you're carrying."
"Why?" I ask suspicious of his behavior.
"Because I want you to pay attention to me and not your phone," he says. I shake my head and hand him my phone and wallet. He sets it on the table next to him. "Also because I want to do this." He throws his arms around me and starts carrying me.
"Mark!" I giggle. He opens the screen door and walks outside. "What are you doing?"
"Ready?" he asks.
"For what?" I ask. He tosses me into the pool. The water is cold against my skin, but no unbearable. I hit the bottom of the pool. My turn to prank him. I float to the top of the water and pretend to not be breathing. I hear the faint sound of my name being called. I hear a splash and two arms wrap around me. I'm set on the cold concrete of the side of the pool. I open my eyes and inhale a big breath.
"Oh thank god!" Mark says.
"Mark, I'm fine," I giggle. "I was just trying to scare you."
"Don't do that," He says pulling himself out of the pool and sitting next to me. "But I have to hand it to you, you're a great actress."
"Thank you," I say standing up and giving him a bow. He laughs.
"Maybe you should be in my next sketch. I was thinking about doing another Darkiplier sketch to scare the fans," he says.
"I'll be in it if you want me to," I say. "Definitely."
"Cool," he says. "Now lets get inside. You must be freezing."
"Meh, it's not too bad," I say. He gets up and we walk inside together. He gives me a t-shirt of his and a pair of his basketball shorts. He changes as well. We sit together on the couch watching Supernatural. He yawns and puts his arm around me. How cliche, I think to myself. But no matter how cliche, I still put my head on his chest and continue to watch T.V. listening to his heartbeat.
