Chapter 12: Pranked!!!

N/A: Sorry I just HAD to put a prank chapter in. I'm usually the Queen of Pranks, and I'm pretty sure that my friends are planning a payback prank on me soon so I'm watching my back now. Just a note for some maybe confused people= Jasper Willows's hair is red. I'm gonna be adding new perspectives in now because just Sparrow and Raven is getting a bit boring. ^-^

Jasper

Raven and Alexandria seemed like a nice bunch.

Tanith has always been awesome, especially giving us our own apartment. And the girls she brought with her were just as awesome. Alexandria, or Lexi, she told us to call her, was a bit quieter than Raven, and I found those green eyes of hers slightly scary. No one had eyes that green. And when she said that she was the daughter of Nefarian Serpine... that villain of my bed-time stories had died the year I was born in, and since that was 12 years ago, I just pretend that such a horrible person never existed. Raven, on the other hand, was actually sort of hot, in my perspective. Torrent was obviously enchanted by Lexi's eyes, but me, I sort of preferred the blondie.

Raven's voice brought me back to the current world. "How does it feel to be able to shoot energy out of your hands?" she asked. "Is it sort of like throwing a fireball, but instead of fire it's energy?"

I shrugged. "Meh, I don't know. It comes quite naturally to me, because my dad was an energy thrower, and so was my mom. It's sort of ironic that they were killed by an explosion of energy when they've spent so long throwing it."

Raven's face suddenly went slack, and then returned to normal. "What?" she asked when she caught me staring. "Is there something on my face?"

"Oh, uh nothing." I stammered. Why had her face gone slack? "Can you show me an Elemental trick?"

It  was her turn to shrug. "Kay then, whatever you want." She clicked her fingers and a fireball appeared in her palm. Tossing it up into her left hand, she created another fireball and started to juggle the fireballs. After that, she compressed the two balls into one and started to make it smaller and smaller until it was about the size of a marble. Then, she balanced it on her fingertips and started to create light shows with the side of the fireball. Without pausing, she walked towards the edge of the wall, walked UP the wall and then stood upside down on the ceiling. Like Tanith.

"Since when could you do that?" I looked up to her. "I thought you were an Elemental!"

"I'm both Elemental and Adept. There's still plenty of time before I hit my surge so why not explore magic? It's easier for us kids to choose from a variety because this way you always have a backup power. I'm gonna go check on Torrent and Sparrow. I'll be back." She walked out the door and before I could follow her, the door slammed shut.

I tried to open it, but it was like it was super-glued to the door frame. What the? And then shadows started to seep in. I ran from it, but the shadows pursued me. And then I realized that these shadows were not Storm's. Storm's shadows were usually very precise and accurate, but these shadows were lazy but professionally strong. Who was it?

"Hey! Raven! Let me out!" I shouted. No response. Instead, a wisp of smoke started to slip through, turning into a fire snake. An angry breeze of wind snuck in as well, and with the shadows, they started to chase me. I ran in circles but the shadows, wind and smoke didn't go away. And before I knew it, a ghost appeared.

Uh what? I thought. A ghost. This ghost had black hair and, oh gods, sapphire blue eyes. It wore a long pale green evening gown that touched the floor and soon started to approach me. The snakes of magic writhed around it as it put it's hands up and raised her head. 

It was Storm's face.

Holding in a screech, I continued to watch it. The ghost started to speak, but it was not in Storm's voice. I couldn't even recognize the voice at all. Jasper Willows. Soon fate ruin your young life. All you love will soon be dead, and it will be your fault. Look at what you've done to me, Jasp, I thought you were my friend. We helped each other in our two years of misery, and we were all we could live for. Why did you do this to me? The ghost changed shape into Torrent Ash, his pale figure standing there, looking at, no. Looking through me. Again the ghost spoke, but now it was a male voice.

We were best buddies! How could you do this to me? I'm nothing but energy now, may the Land of the Dead accept me. And this is all your fault. Willows, why did you this? Then it changed into Alexandria and Raven, both in evening gowns like Storm. Chrysanthemum told you that you were a friend. I guess that's the only time she'll be wrong. I never should have trusted you Jasper Willows.

I couldn't stand it anymore. I lay on my bed and fainted.

Torrent

Oh my god. That was the best prank of my life.

Chrys had put a locking sigil on Jasper's door, and then two others: a sigil that made things transparent on one side, and a sigil to make it soundproof. Now we were watching Jasper pace around the room, hear his gasps, without him seeing us.

Lexi had told me to come help play a prank on Jasper, and I was happy to oblige. Payback time. Jasper had been so irritating this week, and Chrys had been figuring out a prank for ages. I guess Lexi and Raven were the finishing pieces of her puzzle, because she needed an Elemental.

First, Raven sent a stream of shadows underneath the door. Wait. Raven was a Necromancer too? The shadows poured from the pendant I just realized she wore, and started to chase Jasper around the room. Lexi joined in, with a trail of smoke that was just a very tiny fireball moving around. She had a hand gripped tightly onto this amulet thing on her neck, and it obviously was helping her control this immensely hard task. Then it was my turn.

Concentrating on the stream of wind, I sent it rushing after the trail of smoke. Now it looked as if Jasper was being chased by a band of snakes. Chrys suddenly closed her eyes in concentration, and a ghost appeared. It was an image of her. Ah, now I saw it. She was creating a hallucination in my mind so it looked like there was a ghost. She made it speak, saying how Jasper will betray us. All a joke. She then grabbed my hand and the ghost turned into me. I then improvised another Why did you do this to me? speech and then soon Chrys's hand let go of me. 

Now she clutched Lexi and Raven's hand and it turned into both of them. Jasper fainted and the 4 of us burst into laughter.
