A/N: Sorry I'm just not bothered to give chapter names now because I spend half the time thinking what to call it -_- And that just wastes my time, and this is wasting my time so off with this actually so LET'S END THIS STUPID NA. Oh wait one more thing: I'm trying not to swear but that's how I speak and yes I say bitch because that's not a swear word and neither is bastard. That probably makes this story PG13 but meh, sorry guys.

"Hello?" I asked, my voice crackling in the speakers, "Torrent? Are you there?"
Instead, a female voice replied. "Oh your precious Torrent is in my grasps now. If you want him back, you must deliver a certain Alexandria Sparrow to me. Or else, well, Torrent is dead."
I fumed. "I'll give you another deal. If you give me back Torrent, I promise that I'll hand Creyfon Signate's doppelganger to you. He is less than 10 meters away from me. I could disarm him in one shot. I have a Barrett M98B aimed at the knife in his hand, and I could shoot him in the head if he is needed to be eliminated. Just free Torrent."
The girl's voice echoed as she laughed. "Oh, my pretty. You thought it would be this easy? I want you to capture him and bring him to me. Bring him to where I am now." she ended the call.
I grumbled. Reaching out, I searched for her: brown-haired, one blue one hazel eye. Olive Springs. But she had a weird frequency, so that meant that she had to be the one with Torrent. I called Fletcher.
"Fletcher. The stadium. Now." Fletcher arrived and asked. "Where to?"
"Richmond Road, near Tolka River. Hurry. Torrent's been kidnapped." I shot Creyfon-2 in his hand and he fell to the ground in pain. I quickly knocked him unconscious and Fletcher brought us there.
The girl in black put her hood down, and I gasped. She was unnaturally beautiful, like China Sorrows. But her face was ruined by the scars that ran down her left face, on top of her blue eye. "I see you have came, Miss Storm, with the man I want. Thank you for your cooperation." Before I knew it, she threw me back with a wave of energy, took Creyfon-2, and disappeared.
Fletcher sat up groggily. "What the hell? Who was she?"
I groaned. "That's Olive Springs, foster-daughter of Mevolent, an Adept that has the largest range of powers ever. We're never going to get Torrent back unless we give them Sparrow. And also apparently she's trying to overthrow Mevolent and needs the amulet I gave her that can only be used by Lexi to do so. So basically we're screwed."
"Excellent conclusion, Storm. Now what are we gonna do now?" asked Fletcher.
"Ask Skulduggery, of course." I retorted, and we reappeared back in the Sanctuary.
Jasper was the first to react. "Where the hell is Torrent?" he clutched my arms tightly. "Where is he?"
I sighed. "Kidnapped. A young powerful Adept by the name of Olive Springs has taken him. She's the foster-daughter of Mevolent, and the only way we will be able to get him back is if we give her Lexi."
Lexi's green eyes surveyed me quietly. "If it's for Torrent, I'll do it. They obviously need me, and I'm the only one that can control the amulet. I'll go, they won't hurt me."
"Lexi...." Raven's voice whispered, hoarse and quiet. "You can't do this to yourself......"
"I have to. It's for Torrent's sake, and for everyone. For everyone in two dimensions. It's worth the sacrifice."
"I agree." A voice sounded in the background. Tanith. "Lexi is our only hope in getting Ash back, and Ash, well, I don't want him to destroy the place he's in. He's like Sanguine, he's immune to handcuffs. And well, as much as I don't want you to leave, I would rest you in the hands of Olive if I had to. I'm not on the best terms with her, but I'll let you."
"You know Olive?" I whispered. "Really?"
Tanith gave me a weak smile. "I'm Tanith remember? Well, in our dimension, Olive is dead. And her name wasn't Olive, it was Davina Marr. That's why she has weird eyes, it's a syndrome. That's why I trust her, because no one except for me and you guys know that she was a detective in the other dimension. She hates me, but I think it'll be best if it's Sparrow and Storm that go. Storm will have to go in case they are attacked, and Olive would trust you because you gave her Creyfon Signate."
I nodded mutely and headed towards Sparrow. "Lexi, we gotta get ready. Ghastly, could you make us all black clothes to match the spies? And a green dress and blue coat for us two. Sorry I'm just nervous. Lexi get your swords, I'll get my gun. Sheave your sword in your coat pocket not your boots, your boots are for hidden knives." I was pacing now. "Also, we might wanna put up some psychic blocks in case the Sense Wardens are out. Hopefully Olive will be working with Serpine."
I ran a hand through my hair as I hurried towards the door.
I couldn't let anyone hurt Torrent.
It seemed like a childish crush, but I couldn't help being attracted to him. He was so fragile, but he looked like he would take on the world to protect us.
I cracked my knuckles and quickened my pace.
We were going to save Torrent.
