Alexandria
Ghastly Bespoke was a brat. He was a cheater.
But he was Tanith's boyfriend.
So I couldn't kill him.
Curling my fists, I continued to beat up the punching bag. Right jab. Left jab. Right uppercut. Left hook. Right jab. Left swipe. Roundhouse kick. The punching bag flew backwards, chains rattling. I panted, and continued to attack the punching bag. The door creaked open and Valkyrie walked in.
"Looks like somebody's mad." she said, eyebrows arched. "It's about Ghastly, isn't it?"
Without bothering to look, I nodded and sent a kick towards the punching bag. Turning around, I saw Valkyrie was smiling.
"What's so funny about that?" I growled, reaching for my towel. "And thanks for sticking up to me."
Valkyrie laughed. "You remind me of me. I hated Ghastly at the beginning, because all he did was try to make me leave the world of magic. But then he turned into a statue, and I felt really bad. He turned out to be a really nice guy, and he made Tanith happy, so I started to like him. I've always liked Dexter and Saracen more than him, but when Ravel killed him, supposedly, I realised that he was like a father to me. We're leaving to Saracen's house, so I suggest you get ready. Oh, and Ghastly told me to give you this as an apology gift."
I took the package, and inside was an entire set of clothes. But this set wasn't like my other set, which was for training and magic and that stuff. This was for a normal day out, for a nice spring-summer day. It was a deep blue dress with a light blue buttoned up poncho. There was also a pair of black tights that went to it. Underneath it was a note.
Dear Alexandria Sparrow,
Sorry for my outburst in the tailor shop. My temper has grown short after I realised my reflection died. I hope you like this set of clothes, Tanith told me that you liked blue. Also, wear that to Dexter and Saracen's house. I made Raven a set, because Dexter only likes people who look pretty.
Deepest apologies,
Ghastly Bespoke.
I grinned and went to my room with the package. Raven was already ready to go, currently lacing up her boots. She wore a black leather jacket with a red shirt and a black skirt, and a pair of tights like mine. She smiled up at me as I walked in.
"Hurry up, I wanna see how you look, Sparrow." she called.
I put it on, and it fit surprisingly well. I put my hair up and Tanith walked in. Amazingly, she was wearing a dress, a classic brown leather Tanith-styled dress with her favorite coat, which concealed her sword. That was when I realised there were two pockets on the side of the boots, and when I slid my swords in them, they were concealed perfectly. Raven's jacket had numerous hidden pockets, and they all held one of her hidden knives and her favorite revolver, .38 Smith and Wesson revolver, the identical one to Skulduggery's.
"Time to meet Saracen and Dexter, girls!" she said, and we followed her outside. Valkyrie, Ghastly and Skulduggery were already outside, with Fletcher munching on another pizza. Fletcher gave a pizza smile as we came out, and grabbed Valkyrie and Ghastly's hand. We hastily made a circle and Fletcher teleported us outside this big brown house. Skulduggery went up and knocked on the door.
"Hello? Who's there?" a voice called out. A gorgeous man came out, with a cheeky grin and blond wind-swept hair. A scar ran down his face and went over his left eye. "Hey Val! Hey Tanith! Yo Fletcher. Skulduggery, didn't know you would make house calls, and you are?" his right eye searched us questioningly, and looked astounded as he glanced at my emerald eyes and Raven's blond complexion. "Darn, who you got there?"
I managed to find my voice and said. "I'm Lexi, Alexandria Sparrow, daughter of Serpine. This is Raven Moonglass, Skulduggery's granddaughter." Raven gave a small wave. And then Ghastly step forward.
Bloody hell.
Dexter's face was priceless when he saw Ghastly. "Gha... Ghastly? You're alive?" he took a small step forward, and stared at his old friend.
"So it seems, Vex." Ghastly said.
Dexter's face broke into a wide grin. "I can't believe it! Come in guys, come in!"
We walked in, with Ghastly, Skulduggery and Dexter chatting at the front. A man in a wheelchair was sitting in the living room, watching television and eating a piece of pizza. "I see Alexandria Sparrow and Raven Moonglass have finally come to seek my wisdom! And Dexter, you brought in Tanith, the out-of-retirement Valkyrie and Skulduggery too, right? And Fletcher, long time no see!" the man said. He turned his wheel chair around to see a man with a pleasant face and a wide grin.
The face changed the moment it saw Ghastly. It turned to horror. His eyes were wide with shock, and his chin looked like it was about to touch the floor. Skulduggery rolled his eyes, facade of course, and Saracen, recognizing Skulduggery Pleasant's old face, gasped. He looked like he was about to faint. Dexter put a hand on his friend's shoulder and said, "Dude, calm down. It's just Skulduggery's facade, and the blond girl, not Tanith, is his granddaughter. The raven-haired girl is Nefarian's daughter."
"I recognized them. But is it really Ghastly? I can't sense if it's him, and yes I know Saracen Rue knows things, but then I don't know if he's real." Saracen said.
"Then get a Sensitive! One that can read minds. You'll able to see that I have been telling the truth all the time." Ghastly groaned.
Tanith smiled. "Then I know the perfect person to go to."
