"Don't forget about the essay exam next Tuesday!" Our history teacher called as we all exited from the classroom. I let out a groan, knowing I still had to prepare for the in-class essay before next week. History was not one of my favorite subjects, and I needed to work hard just to keep my A.

I continued down the stairs and through the hallway until I spotted Luke. He had just exited his math class, Nate by his side and the two of them laughing about something. His eyes met mine and he smiled, waving me over.

He leaned down to give me a kiss before motioning to Nate next to him. "So, are you ready to get your ass kicked in paintball, Nate?" Luke asked.

Nate just laughed. "You seem to have forgotten that my dad's a cop and I know how to shoot a gun better than you, Lukey boy."

"Yeah, well I also remember the time you almost shot one of your toes off at the shooting range."

I smiled watching the two of them bicker playfully. I hadn't really noticed it before, but the two of them were great together, and I couldn't imagine the type of trouble they could cause if you added Jack into the mix. They had clearly grown up together and had been friends for a long time.

The three of us walked out of the building and into the courtyard. Nate and I both had biology next, while Luke had chemistry, both classes in the same building. Once we reached our classroom, Nate went inside but Luke paused with me outside the door.

He wrapped his arms around my waist before giving me a quick kiss. "Luke, PDA," I whined, though I secretly enjoyed it.

He laughed before letting me go. "Are you coming over today?" He asked, grabbing my hands and holding them in his. "My mom wants to have you over for dinner soon."

"Sure, I'll just have to text my mom and see when she's coming home, but that sounds great."

He wrapped his hand around my neck before pulling my face to his. We kissed for a few seconds before I remembered where we were. "You should get to class," I said, slowly pulling away.

He smirked before taking a few steps away. "Bye Cassie, see you later."

I smiled at him before stepping into my biology class.
