Chapter 5: Lean On Me

Faith's pov.

" So you have a fan club? "

I ask my brother trying not to laugh as we pull up to our house.

" Yeah, apparently I'm pretty popular Vanessa once tried to make me drink a love potion. "

" Yeah she seems crazy. "

I say, laughing awkwardly.

" Oh trust me she is. "

We walk into the house and our parents aren't home as usual. Mom and dad are always busy, being the Alpha and Luna is pretty hard I guess.

" So how did the tour go? "

Chris ask me.

" Good I even got to meet TJ's fan club."

" Fan club? "

He ask looking at TJ.

" I swear that supernatural women are more hormonal then normal women. "

TJ mutters bitterly as I laugh amused.

" You wouldn't be laughing if you had a group of stalkers watching your every move! "

" I wouldn't have to worry you, dad, mom, and Chris would kill them. "

Yes I included mom, she is a girl but she is scary when she's mad. That's why dad always lets her get her way.

" She has a point. "

Chris says.

TJ huffs and walks off to his room.

" So excited about school tomorrow? "

" Yeah I'm just nervous because I'm the only human. "

" Don't be, I'm sure that everyone will love you. "

" I hope so. "

" Don't be worried you have waited forever for this so just be happy. Plus you're going to be a legal adult on Friday so that's something to be happy about."

I sigh.

" I don't see the big deal about turning eighteen. "

" Eighteen is the most important birthday of them all to vampires. "

" Why? "

I see a hurt expression cross his face and it breaks my heart. Chris is never like this.

I scoot closer to him on the couch and take his hand in mine giving him a small smile.

" It's ok you don't have to tell me. "

I tell him and he gives me a small smile in return but it doesn't reach his eyes.

" Thank you Faith, it's just hard to talk about. "

" I understand. "

I reassure him. After all if Chris is upset over it then it must be horrible.

I rub circles on his hand trying to comfort him like he does when I'm upset and we sit in silence just enjoying each other's company. Chris is always there for me so of course I'm always going to be there for him.
