Chapter 32: So Much More

Faith's pov.

The walk home was dead silent and you could practically see the tension between me and Chris. We walk into my bedroom and I sit on my bed waiting for the conversation I've been dreading.

" Sam told me that your the one who asked him for sex is that true? "

He says getting straight to the question. I look down shamefully and nod.

" Why? "

He ask in a neutral tone. When Chris uses his neutral tone I know he's pissed because he only uses it when he's really REALLY mad or upset about something and doesn't want to show how he feels about the situation.

" You left me after we kissed and I thought that you were playing games with me or something and I got mad. "

" So you decided to just assume things instead of actually talking about it? "

I nod shamefully.

" Faith you can't do shit like that! What if Sam wasn't there and the first guy you saw was a vampire? When vampires have sex with humans they drink from them too you could have got hurt! "

" I'm sorry I wasn't thinking I thought that you didn't like me anymore or were playing games with me or something. "

" Why did you even think such a thing in the first place? "

" You left while we were kissing. "

I say blushing.

" That wasn't because I didn't like you or was playing games with you I would never do that. "

" Then why did you leave? "

I question and he actually looks embarrassed. Chris embarrassed? That's new!

" Well? "

I ask again.

" Remember when you said that you lose control when there's to much contact between us? "

He ask me and I nod blushing.

" Well I almost lost control while we were kissing because lust was taking over. When vampires lose control it's very dangerous all that a vampire thinks about is what they want in that moment not the consequences or how it will hurt others. Only what that vampire wants and I don't want to lose control in front of you and end up hurting you. "

He explains but doesn't make eye contact with me. I sigh and stand up walking over to him and kissing his cheek. He looks at me shocked and I give him a small smile.

" Vampire or not you would never hurt me. Even if you lost control I find it impossible to believe that you would hurt me in any way. "

" Maybe you just don't know me that well then. "

I laugh.

" What's so funny? "

He ask confused.

" It's funny that I know you more then you know yourself. "

" Prove it then. "

" Fine your the guy who is closed up but the people you let into your life you love and protect with all you've got, when your upset you hate to show it because you think it will make you look weak, you don't cry in front of anyone and if you do something terrible happened, you think that your a terrible person but you don't see all the great things about you, and you think that being a vampire defines who you are when it doesn't. Your so much more then you think. "
