"And that's the end of Shayne Gostisbehere's point streak, despite the Flyers getting a goal! Must be a disappointing day for him, but what a run it was!" I sighed and sank down into the couch. Shayne was out at PNC Arena for a game today, playing the Hurricanes. He had been gone for a week on a road trip. What really made me upset is that I had to spend Valentine's Day by myself. Shayne played an afternoon game at 1:00 the day before Valentine's Day and then he left to go on a flight to New York a few hours later. I went to the game, got to say hi/bye, happy early Valentine's Day, I love you, and then he was shipped out to New York. We facetimed for a bit a while before his game but that was it. I was upset to see him lose the streak, but I was glad he was gonna be home. You'd think that they would cut us some slack. After all we have been dating for 4 and a half years. I wanted to just hear from him, and I got my wish when I felt my phone vibrate with a text from Shayne.

What do you do when your boyfriend's been gone for a week and you're lonely? Sing the weeknd. "All she cares about is money and the city where she from! Imma sip it till I feel it and then smoke it till its done!" I sang out loud in our kitchen, running around by myself. "I don't need to say what's up, my excuse is that I'm young; and I'm only getting older." I heard a familiar deep voice sing and I turned around with a huge smile on my face, running into his arms. He picked me up and spun me around. I looked him in the eyes and kissed him on the lips. "I've been waiting a week to do that." He smirked and I grinned. I pulled him into our room and changed into some random shirt of his I found on the floor, climbing in bed. He changed out of his suit and into pajamas and soon joined me. I threw my body around his and sighed in content. "I'm so proud of you." I told him and he smiled. "Please, no hockey talk. I haven't seen you in a week. Tell me how you've been." He told me and I nodded. "I spent a lot of time with the dog and at Starbucks. I watched you play a lot. My dad came and visited me a bit, and I went shopping. Watched so much college basketball, but then again what do I ever do with my life?" He laughed at that one. Ya, I loved hockey. But college basketball is my religion, and the month of March in general is the priest. With all of the tournaments, I never left the living room due to all the college basketball on. Born and raised in Oklahoma, I had the opportunity to be a huge Oklahoma fan. Buddy Hield was the greatest thing to happen to anyone in the state of Oklahoma. "So I was thinking, what if we went dog shopping tomorrow, and then did a little wedding planning?" He asked and I gave him a look. "Whose wedding are you talking about?" I asked and he smiled, getting up and pulling something out of his pants pocket and getting on one knee. I gasped and he smiled, tears filling both of our eyes. "We've been dating for 4 and a half years and not a day goes by that I don't want to do this. Claude told me to do it when it's least expected, so I did. Please, please, marry me?" He asked and I nodded, grinning wildly. He slipped the ring on my finger and then kissed my head. "I love you. And now I have you for the rest of my life."
