songs of the imagine:
*For A Boy; Raelynn*
*Lucky; Jason Mraz and Colbie Calliat*"Y/N, get up." I groaned and opened my eyes, rubbing the sleep out of them so I could check the time. 9:30 am, so there was no real reason to get mad Jake for waking me up, but I was curious as to why he was waking me up. "What's up babe?" I asked tiredly, sitting up. "Remember when you told me you wanted me to teach you how to fight?" He asked, sitting down next to me. I laid my head on his shoulder and he pulled me into him, kissing my temple. "Ya, I do. Why?" I asked curiously and he shrugged. "I dunno. I woke up and I was thinking about it and I was wondering if you would want to do that today?" He asked hopefully and I nodded. "Sure, babe." I agreed and he smiled. "Good. Cuz we're going to the gym today and I'm gonna teach you." He told me and I nodded, smiling. He leaned us back onto the bed and looked me in the eyes, smiling. He pushed my hair back and twirled a strand around his finger. "How is it that you shed more than Donny does?" He laughed, pulling like 10 strands of my long hair out from his fingers. "I'm glad you think I shed more than our dog." I chuckled. We laid there for a while until Jake's stomach let out this huge, unearthly groan. I was dying of laughter, Jake just bright red, laughing. "Hungry?" I asked and he nodded laughing. "I guess so." We laughed and he sat up, reaching for my hand and pulling me up with him. I walked into the closet, grabbing my back lululemon workout leggings and a blueish grey Canucks shirts of mine. I walked out of the closet, reaching down to grab my Roshes and Jake whistled. "Woo wee, I'm lucky." He smirked and I slapped his arm. "Shut up, Virtanen. I've been up for 30 minutes and you're already making jokes about me." I rolled my eyes and he kissed my cheek. "Love youuu." He grinned and I rolled my eyes. "Love you I guess." I winked as we walked out of the door, yelling bye to Donny, getting into Jake's car. "Eeek!" Jake screeched. A big smirk came on my face when I heard the beat of "Record Year" by Eric Church. " Since you turned the tables on me, I've been steady and learnin' lonely. Keepin' this turntable spinnin', everything from Jones to Jennings. Slowly plannin' my survival, in a threefoot stack of vinyl. Since you had to walk on outta here, I've been havin' a record year." We blared, singing. We absolutely loved Eric Church, especially this song. After a few more jam sessions to Drake and Zac Brown Band, we made it to the gym. We walked and Jake talked to the front desk guy for a bit, then he went back to his "usual spot," as he called it. He grabbed his pair of boxing gloves and another pair and handed the other pair to me. "Okay so the first thing to know about fighting is trash talking, but you're already pretty good at that considering you get very feisty during Mario Kart so I'll start with the next one. Grab my shirt collar." He told me and I grabbed it, laughing. "This is weird." I laughed and he smiled. "You wanted to learn, hot shot." He smiled and I nodded. "Okay so next, it's really pretty simple. You just take your strong arm, swing it back, and punch the guy. To block you just throw up your 2 arms in front of your face and boom, that's how you fight." He explained, smiling and I looked at him weird. "That's it?" I asked, almost disappointed it was over and he nodded. "Babe, this isn't school. It's just fighting. There's more to fighting, but it's all the boring stuff that I can teach you later. I want Chipotle." He laughed and I suddenly smiled. "Oh, I think I'm okay for a little, pit stop." I grinned, and his eyes widened. "Last time we went on a little "pit stop," he did the little air quotes, "we came home with Donny. Lord help me."
just letting y'all know that I have no idea how to fight so this is probably very much inaccurate but it was the request so I tried my best lol
