I woke up to the side of the bed next to me empty. I frowned, but then smiled when I realized I heard the shower running. I laid in bed, scrolling through twitter, answering snapchats and stuff like that when Auston finally walked out of the shower about 15 minutes later. He had his hair done, and he was wearing a simple pair of joggers and a grey short sleeve shirt. "Why are you ready at 11 am? I just woke up?" I laughed sleepily and he smiled. "Cuz I wanted to take you somewhere fun. Go get ready. Dress kinda warm, it's only gonna be like 60. Dress casual." He smiled at me and left the room, I assume to go make lunch or watch TV. I hopped in the shower and about 10 minutes later, I came out. I went through my drawers until I found a lavender colored sweater that wasn't too thick, but would still keep me warm. I grabbed a pair of simple black leggings and put on a pair of light grey knee high socks on, knowing that I was eventually gonna wear my tall, light brown boots. I walked into the bathroom and straightened my hair, brushing it out after I was satisfied with the way it looked. I looked at my appearance and shrugged, getting over wearing make up. I've been dating Auston since I was in 7th grade, I don't think he really cares what I look like at this point. I walked downstairs, grabbing my boots on the way out. I walked downstairs, seeing Auston sitting at the kitchen table, eating leftover spaghetti, scrolling through Twitter while replays of last night's Blue Jays game played on the screen. He wanted so badly to go, but the first 2 games were in Texas so we were gonna go to the other 2 games in Toronto. I looked through the fridge, deciding to make a grilled cheese. I poured myself some milk and sat down at the table with Auston, Auston immediately setting his phone down. When I first moved in with Auston, I told him one rule of mine that I needed. My sister growing up was always on her phone at the kitchen table. She never talked to us. Eventually, she felt too closed off from her family and moved away with her boyfriend, dropping out of high school. I told him that I never wanted him to have his phone at the table. He respected that. He knew how much my family meant to me and the fact that she just left us because of a stupid phone and a stupid choice she made made me very upset. "Are you gonna tell me where we're going?" I asked and he nodded. "Ya man. We're going to the apple orchard to pick apples and pick out pumpkins for carving." He smiled, a huge grin coming onto my face. That was one of my favorite things to do my whole life, and in 6 years of us dating, we had made a point to go every fall. We cleaned up the kitchen and headed out.
"Auston, let's go get the pink ladies!" I yelled. I was an apple enthusiast, to say the least. I drove around the wagon excitedly. It was already filled with 2 gallons of apple cider, 4 bags of apples, and 2 pumpkins. "Babe, slow down! You're gonna hurt someone!" Auston yelled, seeing that I almost took out a little boy and a family of 4 with one pull of the wagon. After 2 hours at the apple orchard, Auston decided that he wanted to go home and so we drove home. The whole way home was filled with sounds of us singing Drake. We pulled in the driveway and I helped him take everything inside. He didn't let me help with much, for no reason other than he wanted to be a gentleman. I washed my hands and saw that Auston was already getting out the pumpkin carving set, the pumpkins set out on the table. I pulled my hair into a bun and sat down at the table with Auston. "Let's do a leaf this year! Please?" I begged Auston. "Sure babe. Let's do leaves." He smiled at me and helped me take the stem off, pulling out all the seeds. He stuck all the seeds onto a cookie sheet, knowing that later I would clean them off and cook them. I absolutely loved pumpkin seeds. So did Auston. We turned on the Blue Jays game and carved our pumpkins, talking about the game, just 2 kids in love with each other. If this is how every day this fall is spent, I can't say I can complain much.i absolutely loved writing this one! i adore auston and the fall time, this was one of my favorites to write in a long time:) hope you guys enjoy!
