"Wake up." I was awoken by a familiar Russian accent talking. My eyes slowly fluttered open and I saw my Russian love laying on top of me, brushing stray hairs out of my face. "Do I have to?" I groaned and he laughed, nodding. "Yes you do, silly. Get up, I want to show something." He told me and I nodded, getting up. My eyes fixated on the alarm clock and my eyes widened. "6 AM?" I asked, annoyed that he was making me get up to do something against my will at 6 am. "I know, you mad. I promise, you gonna love this." He told me grinning. I agreed, but only because him and his broken English were so cute. "Fine. But only because I love you." I told him and he smiled cheekily. "Love you more, детка." He told me and I kissed him on the lips, running my hands threw his unruly brown curls that I had come to love so much. I scooted to the edge of the bed, about to get up. But then I realized that if he was gonna make me get up, then why would I have to 'get up?' So, I scooted to the edge and stuck my arms out like a child, waiting for him to pick me up. He laughed and rested his hands around my waist, lifting me up, and adjusting his arms so one was around my waist and the other was underneath my butt, supporting my legs. "No funny business with your hand there, Panarin." I told him and he smirked. "No promises." I rolled my eyes and he walked us to the backyard. "I want to show you pretty Russian sunrise. Mom used to get me up every morning to watch." He told me as I stared at the scenery in awe of all the beautiful colors. Artemi had taken me home on the offseason to his hometown in Russia. He set me down and wrapped his arms around me from behind, kissing below my ear. "It's beautiful." I told him and I felt him smile against my neck. "You more beautiful." He told me and I giggled, leaning my head back into his shoulder. He smiled down at me and kissed my lips. "Y/N! Artemi!" I heard Artemi's mother yell from the inside the now open sliding door and I turned around to face her, blushing. "Hi, Mama. Япросто показывает Y/N восход солнца здесь." He told his mother and she smiled. "прийти в ближайшее время, cолнышко, холодно." He nodded and she closed the sliding door. He wrapped his arms around me, rubbing my back. "Ma said to make sure you warm. Don't want you to get sick." I smiled and kissed him on the nose. "Thank you, babe. I appreciate it." I told him smiling and he nodded. We stood there, clinging to each other, trying to keep warm. "It nice to be home. Missed Mom and Dad." he said and I smiled. "It must be nice. I haven't seen my family since Christmas. That was almost 4 months ago. They live in the same state as us, I think we should make an effort to go see them once a month. Well, at least me." I told him and he nodded. "Agree. When we home, we go see family." He said and I nodded. "I'll call my mom later, tell her we want to come, and that we're doing good out here. She was worried about me in a totally different country. She gets weird when I go to a different state for a road trip with you." I told him and he laughed. "Sounds like her." He said and I nodded in agreement. "Let's go inside. I make hot chocolate and we can cuddle and watch good show." He said and I smiled, nodded my head vigorously in agreement. "Sounds like a plan." I kissed him and he bent down in front of me, signaling for me to get on his back. I jumped right on and wrapped my legs around his waist, arms around his shoulders. He pulled the sliding door open and then set me down when he closed it. His mom and dad were in the kitchen, speaking to each other in Russian, which Artemi picked up on and started talking with them. I just kind of stood there awkwardly, Artemi totally oblivious to the fact that I had absolutely no idea what they were saying. "Oh! You no speak Russian." He said suddenly, seemingly worried and I laughed. "Ya babe, I don't." I told him laughing. "Let me teach you." He promised. "You want to teach me Russian?" I asked and he nodded, blushing. "I just thought you might want to learn. It okay if you don't want to, I just thought maybe you want to because my English is not good. Then we talk easier. It really okay if" I cut him off by kissing him on the lips, making him blush. "Of course I want to learn Russian. It would be easier for us, and if we ever come back with our kids someday, we can teach them Russian." I told him and his eyes widened. "You want kids?" He asked and I nodded, frowning. "Of course. Do you not?" I asked and he shook his head immediately. "Of course I want kids. Teach son to play hockey, maybe even daughter too." He said hopefully and smiled. "Perfect. Now, teach me Russian."
