I was sitting at the bar with Miles Wood and Michael Grabner when I heard the familiar laugh of my best friend, (Y/N). I met (Y/N) when I was first traded to New Jersey. I ran into her, literally, at the airport and I felt awful so I bought her lunch. Ever since then, I had been whipped. I figured that this would lead to a cliche love story where I "literally" knock her off her feet and we fall in love. Well that's not how it works.

Unfortunately, she was there to pick up her boyfriend of 5 years. She was there to pick him up just to have him call her and say he was staying in LA for work for another week. After a while, this became a regular thing. He would ditch her to go out, to hang out with the guys, stay long at work, stay extra days on work days, especially when he was in LA which made me suspicious that he was cheating on her with a girl he met in LA.

I smiled and looked around to see where she was, and I was shocked to see her accompanied by Harrison, her boyfriend. My eyes met hers and she smiled, running up to me, engulfing me in a hug. "Hi Tay! What are you doing here?" She asked me and I smiled. "Me, Wood, and Grabs are out celebrating my point streak. I see Harrison finally made it home from LA to join you, huh?" I said and she gave me a look. "Taylor, that's enough. I know you don't like him but I love him so can you please at least respect that." She begged me and my heart melted. I instantly gave in. She could get me to agree to anything. "I'm sorry, I promise I won't say that again." I promised her and she wrapped me in a hug. "I should get back to Harry, see you soon Tay." She said and walked away.

"Man, you are whipped." Miles said when I turned around and I rolled my eyes, even though I knew it was true. I heard laugh again and I wondered if Harrison's world stopped just like mine did. I turned around to watch her again and saw her walking towards the bathroom. She had gone out of sight and my eyes turned to Harrison. I studied him for a bit. Everything about him made me want to vomit. I was about to look away before I actually threw up when I saw a girl walk up to Harrison that wasn't (Y/N). To make things worse, he put his arms around her and kissed her. My blood boiled.

"Hallsy, you saw that too, right?" Grabner asked me but I was too pissed to even answer. I practically sprinted over to Harrison. His eyes widened when he realized I saw everything and I lifted my arm and started pounding my fist into his face. The girl had ran away and soon enough, a bartender was throwing me off of Harrison. "Taylor, what's going on?" I heard (Y/N) ask and I immediately turned around to see her looking at me with anger.

"(Y/N), it's not what it looks like. Well, I did punch him but it's because the second you went to the bathroom, the guy was making out with another girl." Her face drooped and she looked up at Miles and Michael, who just nodded at her, confirming what I had just said. Harrison stood up and just as he was about to say something, she held her finger up. "Don't speak to me ever again. I'll put all of your stuff that's at my place in a box and ship it to you but please, just go away and never come back." She told him and he nodded and walked away, still holding a bunch of bar napkins over his probably broken nose.

(Y/N) looked at me and my heart broke because her heart was broken. I always told her I thought he was a cheater and she never believed me. She ran into me and cried in my arms. I rubbed her back and kissed her forehead, just trying to calm her down. I released her from my arms when I realized everyone in the bar was staring at us. I waved goodbye to Miles and Michael, they knew I had to leave to be with (Y/N). I grabbed her hand and we walked out of the bar and outside into the cold New Jersey air. She shivered through her thin shirt and I immediately took off my jacket and wrapped it around her and she looked up at me and smiled at me as a thank you, wrapping her arms around herself for extra warmth.

I thought to myself that she was the most beautiful sight I had ever seen and that I loved her more than anything. "What?" She said, confused. I was confused as well because I didn't say anything but then I realized what I did: I had said that out loud. "Taylor, is that true?" She asked me and I froze. "(Y/N), I have loved you since I was traded here and I literally ran you over. Truth be told, I thought it would be a cliche love story where we fell in love after you literally fell because of me, but Harrison was always in the way. I love you, so much, and I understand if you don't love me back or even like me that way but I just had to tell you that." I rambled and she looked at me. I thought she was gonna yell at me or tell me she hated me but she did just the opposite.

She leaned in and kissed me. "I love you, Taylor Hall. There's always been a part of me that loved you but I always pushed it away because of Harrison but god, do I love you Taylor Hall." She told me and my face grew into a huge smile. "I love you, so much. And I will make sure I go to the ends of the Earth just to prove that to you."

(A/N): This is gonna be my second to last imagine :/ I have loved writing this book but I decided all good things must come to an end. I have one more after this, which will be Brayden Point. But I have decided to end this book. It's been a hell of a ride :) Be sure to check out my other books, Prince Charming (Brock Boeser) and Never Be The Same (William Nylander)!
