FLO'S POV-

I open my eyes to see the summer lights streaming through the dorm room curtains onto my bed. I look round to see none of the other girls awake so I jump out of bed and rush to the bathroom first.

I spend my time in the shower, washing my long blonde hair and thinking. Today was my last day of college, well today is when I'm going back home. I still had to pack all my clothes and wait for my parents to come and pick me up, for the two hour long drive back to Kensington.

"Flo open the god damn door!" Victoria shouts. So much for a catholic school. I finish my shower and wrap my body in a towel. I swing the door open and Victoria is stood on the other side, her arms crossed. Her red hair is a mess and her eyes have bags underneath. Nobody ever sees Victoria like this except obviously us because we live with her, she's usually caked in Mac and Nars makeup.

"About time," she says pushing past me. I smile at her sarcastically. I don't know how I survived a whole year sharing a room with these girls. They were simply just snotty rich girls with Daddy's bank card. I didn't even want to come to this school but my mother came here which means I had too.

The other two girls Georgina and Annabel were awake and chatting on their beds. "So he then said he's going to take me down the River Thames on his boat!"

Annabel squeals.

I roll my eyes and grab my suitcase from under my bed. I pull it open and starts piling all my clothes in, in no order particular. Unlike the other girls I don't wear expensive clothes or jewellery because knowing me I would just ruin them. And that's why they don't like me. They expect me to be exactly like them, spending my days shopping and working but I don't want to do that. I hate shopping for formal clothes and I hate doing work that I'm not interested in.

Like Business for example. My mother made me take it because my parents want me to take over the family business when they can't anymore. But the only problem is I don't want too. I want to sing and play music which is why I've also taken music as an A level as well, much to my mothers dismay. But it was the only way I was going to come to this school.

"I'm having a party for my birthday," Georgina tells all the girls. I don't even need to look at her. I get changed into a pair of jeans shorts and a checkered shirt. I pull my converse on, wanting to get out of there as soon as possible.

"You're all invited!" She squeals as the others do too. I look up and they're all staring at me.

"Even me?!" I mock my excitement.

"Even you," she replies.

"I'll try my hardest to be there," I tell them whilst mentally telling myself to avoid the party as much as possible. "Cya later girls," I smile, pulling my suitcase along behind me. I grab my guitar and slam the door shut behind me. I was so glad I never had to speak to them again.

I made my way to the front gate hoping that our chauffeur was waiting for me. Unfortunately he wasn't.

I sat down at the gate and pulled my suitcase towards me. I took my guitar off my back and placed it next to me.

I so couldn't wait for this summer. For one it was my birthday tomorrow and I was going to one of London's most popular clubs to celebrate it. I also want to spend my summer writing and singing, and going to all the places I've never been to yet with my sister Maddy.

"Flo?" I hear someone say behind me. I turn round and standing there is my music teacher Mr Meyer. "I hope you get all you want from life Flo, you'd better not stop singing," he smiles at me before walking off. I smile back and his words make me feel nice and warm inside. He was one of the only reasons I stayed at this school, he made me feel special.

I heard a car beep and a Rolls Royce pulled up in front of me. Our car. I put my suitcase in the boot and opened the passenger door, sliding in.

"You alright?"

I spin round and my father is sat behind the wheel.

"What're you doing here? I thought you were working?!" I ask him, wrapping my arms around his neck. My dad works a lot and I hardly ever see him, because he's always away. I get on so well with him, I was always a Daddy's girl and he knew it. He used to take me out when I was little and we are so similar to each other it's scary. We don't really do the public stuff, not like my mother. "I decided to take the weekend off for your birthday!" He tells me. I just couldn't stop smiling.

We start chatting about life at home. "Well your mother has got us a new housekeeper, she suspected that the other was stealing off us," he chuckles. Normal mother, I thought, she has very big trust issues with people and her stuff.

"And Maddy?" I ask him hopefully.

Maddy was my sister. She was the best child my mother could ask for. Beautiful, extremely clever and very witty. But my sister didn't want to be heir to their company, she wanted to play music too so she left home, moving to Camden. Since then she's dip dyed her long blonde hair blue, wears charity shop clothes and got her nose pierced. My mother hardly talks to her anymore, but Maddy is as happy as she can be. She now owns her own music shop in Camden markets, living in the apartment above. I look up to my sister so much and can't wait to see her again.

The rest of the drive we spend chatting about my college year and about my dad's job.

As we pull up the long drive to our house I take in the place I grew up in.

It was a modern house, painted white with a little blue door at the front. My mother always made sure there were flowers flowing from pots on the windows and she didn't disappoint this time. There were masses of purple and pink flowers, tumbling down the house. I loved this house so much, and it felt very warm and welcoming. The reason we have such a huge house is because of my father's job. He owns a company, passed down from his father that mine diamonds. I know nothing about what even happens but one day I'm supposed to be the one taking care of it.

My mother comes running out of the house to greet me. "Florence dear! How was the drive back?" She asks, wrapping her thin arms around my body. She's wearing a purple dress that comes just above her knee, a pair of five inch heels and a knitted cashmere shawl around her shoulders. Her skin is perfect and tanned, and she's wearing her highlighted blonde hair up on her head in a neat bun. My mum is only thirty two, after having me when she was only eighteen. It's because of her good looks that she's so popular amongst the socialites of London. Everybody loves her, she has money, she's pretty and she knows how to be upper class. The only problem is she's extremely strict. I know she wants what's best for me but I really didn't want to own the company when I was older.

It was good," I smile at her.

She grabs my hand and pulls me inside. In the foyer there's a woman stood there. "This is Mia, the new housekeeper. She'll go get your bags," my mother says.

I wait until she's out of earshot to whisper to Mia, "don't worry, I'll get them." She smiles at me and goes busying herself. My mother is getting the house ready for my party tomorrow. The caterers are around sorting the food arrangements out, there are chairs and tables scattered about everywhere, ready to be placed and there are cleaners everywhere, making sure the whole place was spotless.

I went back outside, grabbed my suitcase and guitar and trudged to my room. I threw my suitcase into the corner and lay on my bed.

I wasn't going to get any peace any time soon, I sighed.
