Silent Revenge

Jessica Sanchez is a well known D.A. in Washington, D.C. She has it all. The perfect marriage, the perfect job, she was living the American dream, but all that is about to change. Her husband Johnathan Sanchez was the best, and the most hated lead detective in the Washington District. After seven years of marriage, infidelity shattered the dreams that she had worked so hard to achieve.

Johnathan arrest record spoke for itself. Two hundred and thirty-seven convictions with majority leading into lengthy sentences or life. He believed in getting in the mud, and getting dirty with DC most brutal and vicious criminals. One case in particular will be the one to bring them back together unexpectedly.

The most feared gang in D.C was the 5th Street Boys. Everyone knew and feared them because they believed that you either kill or be killed, no in between. Detective Sanchez was assigned to a case of a body found under the bridge badly decomposed. The only way to identify the body was by his dental records. Once in the system using DNA the person was identified as eighteen year old Omar Santiago who was in the rival gang C.A.B or Central Avenue Boys. From what the autopsy concluded, he was shot execution style to the front of his head. 5th Street was notorious for these kinds of killings. Shoot first, no questions later. Omar finger with his ring that he wore to symbolize his rank, was also cut off, which meant that whomever did this had to provide proof that the deed was met, or just out of disrespect for him. Each body count made Jessica and Johnathan very angry because with their careers, they've never had a child of their own, so each child homicide as with anyone, was very hard to deal with.

After two years of empty leads and dead ends, they finally got the break that they needed. Word around town was that 5th Street most vicious and up coming leader Ramon Carnilla aka Chico was responsible for the slayings of Omar, and DC most powerful couple was responsible for his capture and sentence of manslaughter. 

Chico was given 10-25 years in prison. He didn't blink or flinch during the entire trial which gave Jessica the creeps. Little did they know that this wouldn't be their last encounter with Chico. After three months of a long and agonizing trial the jury reached a verdict, but who was really guilty and how many crimes were committed in this case? The judge asked Mr. Carnilla if he would like to address the court and he spoke the most chilling and terrifying words that Jessica never got out of her head.

    "I will see you again sweetheart". At night when you're having your favorite glass of wine, listening to your jazz CD in that nice little white night-gown that you wear. One of these days while you sleeping, you will wake up in a nightmare. Watch your back. and lock your doors because one day I will have my Silent Revenge".

The judge hits the gravel, "Order, Order in court" "Take Mr. Carnilla away!!"

Jessica stands there white as a ghost and terrified, hoping that this was a bad dream, but her nightmare had yet to begun.
