New Nightmare

"Jonathan... Jonathan. Are you ok? What happened? What did he say? Is Jessica Okay? I could see Serg's lips moving, but I couldn't hear any words that are coming out of his mouth. I slowly come out of what seems like a never-ending nightmare. My new nightmare. I kept hearing that gunshot go off inside of my head, and instantly I became sick.

"Jonathan, what happened? Answer me?"

"He shot her. He shot my wife."

"Oh my God, are you sure? Maybe he just did it to scare you. You know this psycho is trying to get in your head, so I need for you to focus. So until we know for sure, we're going to continue on and bring her home. Now get your head back in the game. This ain't the time for you to zone out now. You started this mess, so you're going to end it. Now let's go over the call."

"Serg he knows that Thomas is undercover."

"What the hell? How does he know? We have to pull him out! Damnit, Jonathan. Your shit just keeps getting deeper. I sure hope that you've learned your lesson. Your Father would be ashamed?

The sad part about everything he said is...I can't even get mad because he is telling the truth. I can't believe that all of this is happening because of me. I should be there instead of her, but Serg is right. He's just trying to get in my head, and he has, but I have to put on my poker face for now. I can guarantee that when I see him, he's dead to me. Pun intended.

"Now tell me everything that happened on that call. I have a team trying to do a trace, but he never stays on the call long enough for us to get a good location, but don't worry Jonathan. We are good at what we do, so let's nail the coffin on this asshole."

"He did let me speak to Jessica. She couldn't say much, but it was good to know that she's alive. I married a fighter, so I know that she's going to give him hell. The one thing that worried me was that he said that he knew that Thomas was an agent. Serg I don't know how the hell he could know. We have to pull him out. I couldn't handle it if anything were to happen to him as well. All of this is on me, and I have to find a way to make it right, without any more bloodshed. We have to pull him out."

"We can't! If we do that now, that would most definitely make him suspicious. We have to get ahead of this lunatic, but I don't know-how. We have two days left, so let's make every second count. We will have to let Thomas know so that he can be on high alert, as well as our backup tactical team. Whatever it takes to get her back, that's what we will do. I have had enough of these punks. I want them off the streets. If that means that we have to lock up everyone until we get to him. Then that's exactly what we will do.
