The Case

Jessica and Johnathan have been working side by side for years on countless homicide cases. They started to become close on their first big case, The murder of Reginald Lawson during a lover's quarrel. His wife Shawnta had a restraining order against him for stalking and domestic violence. For years she fought for a divorce but he wouldn't give it to her so once he got locked up for beating her almost to death she finally left.

Shawnta moved to DC to live with her brother Harold the Banksta Johnson and his on and off again girlfriend to get away from her husband, but that didn't stop him. After he got released from prison for a domestic dispute with her, he hired Isaac Livingston, a Private Investigator to track her down. He used his money he got from his mother's inheritance after she died while he was locked up. He was determined in his mind that if he couldn't have her, then no one would.

Shawnta lived with her brother for six years when she got word that he was going up for parole the next year. She didn't date, but she was casually seeing this guy name Frederick Hopkins aka Blaze, who was a member of the C.A.B, Central Ave Boys. He was well known in his community. Some loved him, but others feared him because of his badass reputation. He was a young upcoming rapper, but he was still not scared to handle his business and step to anybody that he felt disrespected him or anybody he knew, so once Shawnta told him about Reggie being released he knew what he had to do.

The next day Blaze made a phone call, and the crew met at their regular spot. He called on his main men who didn't mind adding to their body count. Once J. B. Jamaal Blake and Corey "Stitches" Jenkins got to the spot it was all business from there.

J.B was not much for words. You gave him the assignment and it was taken care of, no questions asked, but Corey got his name because all his victims required stitches before you could identify them. They should've named him "The Punisher" because he was on that level of crazy.

Isaac Livingston had just enough evidence to give to Reggie once he got out. Where she worked, her brother's address and the information on Blaze whom he assumed Shawnta was now in a relationship with. Once Reggie got the information and photos that Isaac provided him, he became furious to know or to think that she had moved on.

"I will kill them! Reggie said.

"She can't leave me. I've got to get my baby back!"

Isaac asked him is that's all he would need from him, and Reggie thanked him and gave him a gold envelope containing ten thousand dollars in it. Now Reggie was planning his next move, not knowing that he was the pawn in this chess game.

Shawnta didn't come outside for almost two weeks after hearing of Reggie's release. She knew it was a matter of time before he would come looking for her. Blaze put her up in a hotel because she said she couldn't put her brother in danger. Blaze told her that if he was to ever step foot in DC that it would be the last step that he'll make, but Shawnta said that even from the grave she would still fear him.

It only took Reggie six months to make his way from North Carolina to Washington D.C. He followed her for weeks without her knowing but CAB was on his trail as well. One night as Shawnta was walking back to the hotel after getting some snacks from the corner market, she just knew she was being followed. She made a left and entered into this little diner on the corner. She hid in the bathroom, but she could peep out the door to see her greatest fear only 20 feet away from her. In a panic, she dug down in her purse and grab her cell phone, and called Blaze.

He answered the phone "Sup Ma I'm in the studio."

He could hear the panic in her voice. "Blaze he's here! Reggie is here!" She said with panic in her voice.

"Yo, where are you?"

"I'm at the diner on First Street hiding in the bathroom!"

"Stay there ma, don't move."
