Our Wedding Day

I can't believe that this day is here. It's been two years since he proposed to me and the day is finally here. I am filled with so many emotions right now! At this very moment, I don't believe that anyone could be as happy as me. I slide into my dress and add the final touches.  I turn around and look in the mirror because my glam squad said I hate to wait until I was completely done before I could see myself in the mirror. I gasp for air as I see how absolutely stunning I am.

"Don't you dare let a tear fall? Save that for the altar or the final kiss, but you will not ruin your makeup missy!" Harmony exclaims. Joseline come get your sister!

She was one of my bridesmaids and my baby sister was my maid of honor. Although Harmony was like my second sister Joseline is my only sister so I wanted to share this moment with her and besides Harmony said the second commander suits her anyway (smiles). I love that girl and I don't know what I would do without her.

"Are you ready Jess? You look absolutely amazing. I am so happy for you. My sister says as I try to hold back my tears.

"More than ready!"

"Then let's get this party started!" Harmony says from across the room.

As I walk down the hall in the cathedral I am greeted by my parents.

My mother begins to cry. "You look absolutely beautiful Angel." That's what she used to call me as a child.

"Thanks, mommy!" I say as I gleam with excitement.

Dad just stands there staring at me.

"Daddy are you ok?"

"You're still my little princess, but today you look just like one. I am so happy to be here with you on this day. I don't want to let you go, but I know Johnathan is sent by God for our Lil angel!"

"Oh, Daddy I love you both, and thank you so much!"

"O MY GOD woman, please turn the faucet off!" I hear Harmony say.

She snaps her fingers and the makeup artists come to touch up our makeup.

"Ok, so let's try this again. Are you ready for your last day as Ms. Carter?"

"Yes. And forever as Mrs. Sanchez."

We all smile and took our places as the organ begins to play.

After my sister walks in and followed by Harmony, I locked my arm around my dad and the music begins to play. The door opened and the crowd stood. I hear a lot of ooooh's and aah's as I walked down the aisle and I see Johnathan smile from here. My brother Brandon gives me a wink, and I see my other brothers standing next to my soon to be husband and I smile.

I hear the Pastor say "Who gives this woman away to this man?"

"We do! Her mother and I." Daddy kisses me on my forehead like he used to do us all when we were little.

"I love you, Daddy."

"I love you too princess."

I take Jonathan's hand and I forever begin at this moment.

After we exchange our vows and place our rings on each other's fingers I hear the words that make my heart melt.

"I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss your bride, sir!"

Sealed with a kiss!! "I love you Mrs. Sanchez and you look amazing."

"Not as much as I love you and you're mighty striking yourself!"

We turn to face the crowd and the tears are everywhere. Even Harmony is crying and I've never seen her catch a cold, let alone cry.

I leave with my husband to the reception hall, and it is something out of a magazine. Am I in an episode of 'My Fair Wedding' because this is beyond beautiful? It has crimson and ivory roses everywhere. There were two harp players in the corner and angels on the ceiling. Oh my God, I'm actually in Heaven. I begin to cry when everybody walks in and they are just as amazed as I am.

Our parents walk in and Johnathan's mother comes to me and says. "God brought us an angel so I decided to bring a piece of heaven to you!"

"Mama you"

"Cee Vous ètes un Ange envoyè du ciel! Anything for our angel sent from heaven!"

"It absolutely astonishing "

"Girl I wanna be like you when I grow up" I turn to see Harmony walking with the wedding party.

We sit at the table and I am looking at everyone.  I couldn't be happier. I have the world's sexiest detective to my left and both of our families together as one. How lucky could a girl be to have two amazing mothers, a King for a father, three strikingly handsome brothers, and two sisters since Harmony is determined to be a member of the family? I really must say that I am blessed!
