The Surprise

I wake up the next morning and I have to call her parents. This is just going to add fire to the fuel already lit. Her father and brothers already don't like me because of me cheating on her. Now I have to tell them that she's been kidnapped. This just gets better with time. I pick up the phone and dial her parents and her sister Joseline answers.

"Hi, Jos this is Jonathan. How are you?"

"Great and you. Wassup?"

"Where are mom and dad?"

"Uuhhum let me check. I think they're downstairs. Mom, Dad picks up it's Jon!"

"Hello, Jon how are you?"

"Mom have dad get on the other line. I need to talk to you both."

"Is everything okay dear?"

"Jon what's so important that we both need to be on the phone! Is everything okay? Where is Jessica? Has something happened?"

"Yes dad something has happened, and I don't know what to tell you!"

"Try the truth for god's sake!"

"Has something happened to my baby Jon?" Mom starts to cry.

"Jessica was working on this case against a big gang here in DC and the leader of the gang....He...He uuuhmmm!!

"HE WHAT DAMNIT? TELL US!!"

Mom, Dad... Jessica's been kidnapped.

"NNNNNNOOOOOOO!!! MY BABY...MY BABY!! YOU HAVE TO GET HER BACK JON. PLEASE GET MY BABY BACK!!

"I'm working on it, mom. Trust me I am going to get her back.

"How did this happen? Did you know about this?"

"I know about the case, but I never would've thought dad I swear.

"You better get my daughter back, or I swear to you!" Then he slams the phone down.

This just gets worse, but I have to remain focused. Today is the day I put a plan in motion. I have to follow up on the leads I got from CSU and get this thing moving. Everybody met up at my house just in case he calls or I get a message. We have a trace on my phone and our computers so we can try to trace his steps. He's a smart man, but sometimes the smartest men make the dumbest mistakes. I'm working on both cases and treating them as one. The homicide of Angela Garcia could well be linked to my wife's kidnapping. We go to the hotel where she was murdered to see if we could find any DNA left at the scene. I walk the perimeter of the room, and I can't believe that she's dead. She was strangled by the door. It looked as if she was trying to get away and that she obviously knew who it was to let them in. CSU found fingerprints and they were running them through CODAS to possibly find a match. Meanwhile, I decided to put together a Task Force Unit to start searching the locations of his warehouses. DC is huge, but not if you have the right people in the right location. I will find my wife if it's the last thing I do.

Jessica:

I finally wake up and realized that I'm in severe pain. I'm tied up in this soundproof room. I try to take in my surroundings, the look, the smells, and if anything seems familiar. My anger is overpowering my fear, but I know Jonathan will find me. I'm not sure how long I've been here because I believe he drugged me. I can see myself and he beat the shit out of me. I have a busted lip and one of my eyes is swollen shut. I know one thing, if Jonathan doesn't kill, I'm sure as hell will. I try to stand up but my legs are in pain. Oh my God, I began to cry.....he raped me. I hate him for what he's done to me. What did I do to deserve this? A million questions are going through my head. Just then the door opens and I'm face to face with the enemy.
