Demi's POV
For breakfast, we just had cereal. Wilmer had to leave not too long afterwards, so it was just Avery and me. I still had to ask her how she felt about me going on tour. I was really nervous to tell her. I didn't want her to get upset about it.
"So Avery, I need to talk to you about something," I said as we were both sat on the couch. She looked at me, her face held both curiosity and nervousness. "A while back ago, way before I started teaching, I used to perform a lot." She waited for me to continue, so I did. "A bunch of people would come to see me sing."
"Like a concert?" She asked.
"Exactly. And I traveled a lot and did tours."
"You were famous?" Her eyes lit up as she spoke.
I smiled. "Yes."
"That's so cool!" She gushed, then she thought for a moment. "But why did you stop?"
"I just wanted to try something different. And it turned out for the better," I answered.
"How is this better?"
"I've got you," I smiled. She smiled back. "But I have a question for you. My manager called this morning. A lot of people want to see me perform again. Everyone already set up a whole tour that I didn't even know about until this morning. On this tour, I'm going to have to go away a while."
Avery's smile dropped. "Oh."
"Now you can come with me, but it's going to be a lot of people. It might get a little crazy, and I don't want you to get scared. If I leave you here, Wilmer can take care of you. It's just going to be a long time until we can see each other again. The final option is I can cancel everything. If you don't want to be away from me, and you don't want to come, then I can call the whole thing off. It's your choice."
She thought about everything for a while. I could tell she was thinking pretty hard about all of the options. "Why don't you want to choose?"
"Because you're my top priority. I'm not going to do something you aren't comfortable with."
"Oh," she answered again. "If I go, can I see you on stage?"
"Of course. You'll have the best view."
She smiled. "I think I want to go."
"Are you sure? It's going to be busy."
"I don't want to be away from you for a long time."
"I don't want to be away from you, either. But if you want, I can just stay home."
She shook her head. "It sounds like fun."
I smiled at her. "Everyone is going to love you."
I brought her in close for a hug. I thought about having a whole new experience with going on tour with a little one. My little one. I already knew, this was going to be the best tour I've ever done.
Drama drama drama to come!
Wow, this book is only 10k away from 100k reads! That amazes me, like what?!?!
Like always, thank you for your reads, votes, and comments.
P.S. Thank you for your opinions on what you think this stomach thing is. Truthfully, I'm too scared to go to the doctors because I don't want there to actually be something wrong with me. I don't want to tell my parents because they will definitely make me go to the doctors. Going to the doctors is NOT cheap. I don't want to waste their money and end up not finding anything wrong. I think I'm just going to wait this out, and if it gets worse or the pain increases, then I'll say something.
