(Name)'s POV

"Finally, we'd like to introduce two transfer students who'll be joining your ranks today." The announcer girl said.

I don't know how I got here.

"You're up!" Another girl said as she pushed me onto the stage. I looked back and saw Soma give me an encouraging thumbs up.

I stood in front of the microphone for a moment and stared blankly at the crowd as they waited for me to speak. I could already feel their judging stares sizing me up. I could tell the people around me were getting impatient too, so I finally decided to talk. "Suuuuuuup?"

No reaction.

"Uh, I'm Homura (Name)..." A random sneeze in the crowd. Don't tell me someone had the exact same name as me?

I was killing it. And not in a good way.

What do I do what do I do what do I — oh! I know!

"Lettuce see, I'm very pea-sed to meet you all," I grinned as everyone stared in disbelief at the pun I just made. "I cannoli imagine becoming butter skilled here! I donut know how I managed to get here but I'll be raisin to the top soon, just y'all wait!" I grinned goofily as the crowd launched into an uproar at my words, most of them raging at my annoyingly cheeky confidence.

"Well, thank you (Name)-san-" The announcer said before I cut her off.

"You're berry welcome." I winked as she gave me an aggravated look. I could only laugh as the same girl who pushed me up dragged me off of the stage before I could cause a bigger ruckus. Not wanting to deal with her anger, I walked over to Soma who was grinning brightly at my act.

"Good one, Homura!" He shot a thumbs-up my way.

"I have no recollection of what I just said," I deadpanned.

Before I could thank him, I watched the same girl grab Soma and push him up onto stage, and quite roughly if I may add. I sorta felt bad since I had already put everyone in a bad mood for him. Although Soma didn't seem to mind the grumpy faces as he began to speak into the mic.

"Oh, sorry to be talking to y'all from up here." He chuckled as he scratched his head.

"Just be quick about it, please," the announcer whisper-shouted at him.

"I'll keep it short and sweet, then. Just a couple sentences. Uh, I'm Yukihira Soma. To be honest, this academy's just a stepping stone for me. I wasn't expecting to transfer here, but I don't plan on losing to folks who've never actually served customers. Anyway, what I'm getting at is... Basically, now that I'm here, I'm gonna take the number one spot!" At this, everyone stopped in shock at Soma's bold words. They were even more straightforward than mine. Soma stepped away from the microphone to where everyone could see him clearly.

"Looking forward to being with y'all for the next three years!" He bowed his head. At these finishing words, everyone's fury was unleashed as books, phones, and all things of the like were flung blindly in rage. Some people were even shouting threats.

Congrats Soma, you infuriated them even better than I did.

Soma walked casually off stage as if unaware of the rowdy students and muttered, "Phew, I managed not to bite my tongue." I smiled at him and pat his back.

"Great job out there!" He thanked me when something suddenly caught his attention.

"Oi! You're the one from the exam! Uh, Nakiri, right?" I looked over to see he was correct, it was the girl who judged our dishes! "Man, that was nerve-wracking. It's not like I've ever had to stand up there to get awards or stuff like that. How was I? Was I weird?" Soma rubbed his nose as he leaned towards her.
