ALISON'S POV

"So Alison, are you ready for your first tattoo?"

My heart is beating like crazy but there is no turning back.

"You look really nervous." Katy chuckles and I shake my head. "I am but I'm ready." "Alright then. Here we go." She drags the needle across my skin and I wince, putting my hands into fists.

Now I know what Zayn means by being brave, coming alone to get your first tattoo.

It hurts like a bítch, not 'It isn't that bad.'

Surprisingly, I was not shedding a single tear.

Yet.

"So, what made you decide to get a tattoo?" Katy asks, distracting me from pain that I am feeling.

"I just had my nineteenth birthday yesterday, so I wanted to get a tattoo just for the fun of it." "Happy belated birthday!" I smile at her. "Thank you Katy. If I may ask when did you get your first tattoo?"

"I was sixteen. On my hip, I got a small angel." "That's nice." "I really want to ask you this question. May I?" "Sure." I nod.

"Usually tattoos have meanings behind them so, what is the meaning behind this tattoo?"

Getting this tattoo, people would question me but this is like my personal reminder.

This tattoo only a few people would understand but this tattoo is for reassurance, to stay strong no matter what will happen.

"I have done something in the past which I really do regret but this tattoo encourages me to stay strong through anything that can happen unexpectedly." "It's a personal tattoo, am I correct?" I nod in agreement.

Talking to Katy is distracting me from wincing every second and she has somehow made me feel relaxed.

"Some people like to express personal experiences through tattoos. I have a tattoo for something personal that went on in my life. Zayn is a massive fan of personal tattoos."

Katy mentioning Zayn makes me a little inquisitive about him but I'd rather not ask anything about him.

"He probably does." "Sweetie, let me say something. When I was walking up to you, I could see you acting shy around him. You were blushing like a red tomato!" "I was not." I defend.

Liar.

"I don't buy that but he is single, just saying." She teases, making me chuckle at her statement but also making me blush.

I wasn't really interested in him like that way, right? Besides why would he want to be with me? I'm not that interesting and we hardly know each other.

"Katy, I just think he is cool." She smiles cunningly. "Okay. If you say so." Katy says nonchalantly.

I have so many questions to ask about Zayn but if I had to ask, Katy will say that I am interested in him like that.

After fifteen minutes, Katy wipes off the excess ink off my forearm.

"There we go. It's done." I look at my forearm and a grin appears on my lips.

"I love it! Thank you!" I gush and she smiles. "I'm glad you love it Alison."

It looks amazing and I know that I won't regret this tattoo at all.

It's exactly what I wanted from the beginning.

"Since this your first tattoo, I have to go over some rules and please, I'm begging you to listen very carefully." "Okay."
