"Karen, this one. It's beautiful, it's PERFECT!" Janette gushed, pointing towards a white, lacy gown. Karen hooped over to her and joined her in awe: the dress was perfect.
The pair of them had been inside a quaint little bridal shop for hours now, and after numerous complimentary cups of tea and slices of cake, Janette had finally decided upon the dress she would wear down the aisle. It wasn't too showy, but had just the right amount of glamour to it. It was the perfect dress for her.
She had tried it on and strutted through the shop, causing Karen to burst into tears over how stunning her best friend looked. Changing back into her usual, slightly more subtle attire, she hurriedly headed to the till where she paid for the dress of her dreams.
They exited the shop, full of sugar from the tea and cake and Janette full of exhilaration from the fact that her wedding really was happening, and was happening soon.
Over on the other side of town, Aljaz and Kevin, supposedly shopping for Aljaz's tuxedo, were actually huddled in the Star Wars corner of the Disney store, ogling all the various R2D2 and BB8 toys. Like two little children in, well, a toy shop, they piled the trolley high with all the plush toys and action figures, leaving none for the very desperate two year old, intent on getting a BB8 of his own. Seeing that he was nearly in tears, Aljaz removed one of the toys from their trolley and handed it to the small child. His face lit up and he grabbed the toy and pulled it in to his chest in a hug. "Fank you fwendly giant." He pronounced, before sprinting off down the store to show his mother what he had.
Aljaz and Kevin headed to the till, ready to pay for the copious amounts of toys they had chosen, before Karen and Janette interrupted them. "I thought as well that I'd find you here." Karen laughed, shaking her head in mock disapproval. "What exactly do you think you're doing with the Disney store's entire Star Wars stock?" She added, before removing most of them from the trolley, leaving two plush BB8 and R2D2 teddies. "You've gotta learn how to control yourself!" Janette said as she gently hit Aljaz on the back before bursting into laughter herself.
The four of them left the shop, bags in hand from the trip. Hailing down a taxi, they clambered in and sat down after a long day of shopping. In fits of laughter, they chatted until Janette nodded off on her fiance's shoulder, at which point he whispered "Shhh," gently, before wrapping his scarf around her so she would stay warm, before kissing her on the top of her head and saying "My beautiful bucka." The three of them spent the remainder of the journey gazing out of the window, until they pulled up to Janette and Aljaz's flat.
"Here we are." Aljaz said, gently shaking Janette to wake her up but having no effect. "Guess I'll have to carry her then, the sleeping beauty!" He carefully maneuvered himself out of the taxi first, before scooping Janette up in his arms. "Bye mate! See you soon!" Kevin whispered, "Picking a wedding dress is stressful!" Karen said, before blowing a kiss as the taxi door shut and it drove away.
Aljaz carried his sleeping fiancee into the flat, lay her on the bed and tucked her in, before placing a kiss on her forehead and shutting the door as she dreamed.
