Aljaz clutched Janette's hand in the taxi, his other hand in his pocket fumbling the ring box once more. He gulped, trying to hide his nerves from her. "You look beautiful, bucka." He jittered, smiling a half-hearted grin at Janette. She leant her head on his shoulder and shut her eyes, content with that moment, unaware of Aljaz's gradually rising nerves.

The taxi pulled up outside a beautiful red brick building, with 'Dance Attic' embellished in gold lettering above the doorway. Both Janette and Aljaz adored the building. It looked like a palace lodged into a London street from the outside, and on the inside felt like home. Climbing out of the car and aiding Janette too, Aljaz breathed deeply, before offering his arm to Janette for her to walk with. She looked up at him and smiled.

The foyer was dimly lit, the deep plum carpet that was laced with little sequins twinkling gently beneath their feet.
Aljaz pulled open the door of the main studio, which had been redecorated for the 'event' that Janette thought they were attending. "Baby, are we early?" She questioned, gazing around the room only to see nobody. The large wall of mirrors had been covered over by a luxurious black velvet curtain and there was faint music playing in the background. Listening carefully, Janette could make out that it was 'You and I,' her and Aljaz's song. "Hey, why don't you check out the chocolate fountain?" Aljaz suggested as he pushed Janette towards the centre of the room, where the machine was waiting.

Janette selected a few of the best strawberries and dipped them into the flowing chocolate waterfall in front of her. She picked another few for Aljaz, and lathered them in chocolate for him. She then whipped around to pass him the delicious treat, Where has he gone? She thought.

After looking left and right, she averted her eyes to the floor where she saw Aljaz. What is he doing down there? "Baby, are you tying your laces?" She crouched a little in an attempt to see what he was doing more clearly. "Aljaz?" She repeated, tapping him frantically on the shoulder.

He lifted hid head up and looked straight into Janette's eyes. He's on one knee! Janette thought. Retrieving the ring box, Aljaz opened it to reveal a sparkling ring, perfect for Janette.

"Janette Manrara," He started, as Janette let out a huge sob, followed by countless tears, "I've known for a long time that you are the one and only person for me. You're the sweetest, kindest, most beautiful woman I have ever met and you are my best friend. Ever since the day I met you, I knew we had something special. I've known for a long time. Let's make it you and me, always. Will you marry me?" He finished, tears in his own eyes. Janette cupped his face in her tiny hands, nodding furiously and blurting "Yes, yes of course, a million times yes!" He stood up, taking them ring out of its padding and lifting Janette's hand. He looked at her face, her other hand wiping tears and mascara from her face, and slipped on the ring.

She pulled him into a kiss, and they stood for a good few minutes, the music around then taking over. I did it. Aljaz thought.

Minutes later after a slowdance to their song, Aljaz headed to the table and opened a bottle of the champagne that was waiting on it. Pouring some into two flutes, he passed one to Janette and raised his in a toast. "To my beautiful fiancee," He grinned at Janette, the word 'fiancee' fresh on his tongue but already feeling like second nature. "The best woman in the world and the love of my life." Janette beamed at him, the ring dazzling on her finger.

They chinked glasses, celebrating their upcoming life, together.
