There is no other option. Janette reassured herself as she tossed all her belongings around the room in an attempt to make them land in piles. With Faye and the engagement and all the other stresses of life, she couldn't handle it any more. This was the only way.

She crept into Ana and Eva's room where they were soundly sleeping huddled up beside each other. Pulling open the wardrobe, she gathered armfuls of their clothes, toys and other things and carried them into her room. Three large suitcases lay empty on the floor. Right. Time to pack. She thought.

*Flashback*

Janette flicked through the wad of papers on the table in front of her, chewing the top of her pen. She never quite understood why everything needed so much paperwork, but proceeded to read through it and sign.

RELOCATION TO THE UNITED STATES

Read the first page of the paperwork. She had made her mind up. Staying in London was too painful, Aljaz was right around the corner and chirpy Faye had danced all over her last nerve. Janette had decided enough was enough. It was time to move on with her life.

She had contemplated where to move to for long hours, settling on the States as she was familiar with them and was technically still a resident. However moving back to Miami would essentially mean that she had made a full loop, left Miami, lived a life, lost that life and moved back. No, she decided on a completely different state.

California

She read out. Yes, it was the perfect option for her. Far from Miami, far from Aljaz. A fresh start. With the twins, of course.

Turning page after page of information, she signed various sheets until the paperwork was all done. Now all there was to do was to mail and and wait.

*End Of Flashback*

The reply arrived a few weeks after - a smart looking letter addressed to 'Ms. Manrara.'
She opened it with apprehense. If they denied her the permission to live in the States, she would have had no more options left.

Carefully tearing the cream coloured envelope, her heart was in her throat. This was it. She hadn't meant for it to be a big deal, but it was starting to feel like one.

Ms. Manrara,

She read, out load even though there was nobody but the twins around.

The United States Department For Immigration.

We have received your request to move to the following State: California and are thrilled to inform you that your request has been accepted.

She let out a squeal of joy, then hastily stifled it in an attempt to not wake the twins. That word - accepted - seemed to glow on tge page. Here's to a new life, she thought.
