A few months had passed and life had been seemingly normal for Janette. Everyday it was feeding the twins, tidying after the twins, putting them to sleep and then repeating the next day. It was her usual routine and any change was unwelcome.

As she normally did nowadays, Faye knocked enthusiastically on the front door, that smile that irritated Janette smothered all over her face as it always was. "Guess WHAT?!" She shrieked as Janette pulled the door open. "What is it Faye." Janette sighed, unimpressed by the outbrst of excitable energy from the woman in front of her. Before she could process the question, Faye shoved her left hand in her face. Focussing her eyes once more, she picked out the large diamond sparkler that now graced Faye's ring finger. "ENGAGED!" Faye yelled, waiting for an equally as thrilled response from Janette.

Instead, the colour drained from her face. She felt her eyes beginning to steam up and her hands beginning to shake. She managed to muster the ability to speak, but only produced a half hearted "Wow." Biting the insude of her cheek to stop herself from crying, she stared at Faye's beaming face.
"Isn't it just the best? He asked me in the sweetest way too!" She added, waiting for Janette to ask how he asked her, but not getting a response. Taking it as an opportunity for her to explain how anyway, despite Janette being on the verge of tears, she started. "He took me to that old dance studio where we used to dance together and he asked me there! I was expecting some kind of press event but no, there he was on one knee behind me, not tying his laces but proposing!" She clasped her hands together in glee, bobbing up and down with that excitement that she always seemed to have too much of.

Janette couldn't take anymore. With a broken voice she called Ana and Eva over, practically threw their bags at Faye and slammed the door in her face while Faye was in mid sentence. She turned, ignoring the fact that Faye was still talking. Her ears were ringing, her eyes blurred over. She sank down to the ground, leaning on the door. She buried her head in her hands and the tears streamed out of her eyes uncontrollably. How could he? She thought, flashbacks of all the things he had said to her when they were and item and wondered whether he had 'recycled' these on Faye too just like the proposal. Their proposal. She sat, mascara smeared all over the cheeks, attempting to stop herself from crying. You are over him. OVER. She tried to tell herself, but deep down she knew tht she would never completely be.
