Damian~
Inside the warehouse Damian was regretting ever stepping out that night. First tracking a long list of clues throughout the narrows had resulted in getting split up and then some lousy, second rate drug dealers had taken first Nightwing down and then himself.Wasn't Red Hood supposed to be keeping these guys in check? Obviously he wasn't doing his job.
Their lead man snarled something foul about what he planned to do to them, and Nightwing fired back a smart aleck retort. He wasn't fooling anyone- Damian and Dick both knew they were utterly stuck, arms strung above their heads and utility belts stripped. This wasn't going to end pretty for sure, especially since their coms had been ripped out. God, how the hell had these morons gotten the drop on them?
"You listenin' pretty boy? We're gonna string you up for the Bats to find! And then who's gonna save you?"
"Well, no one- because we'll be strung up and have no reason to be saved? Unless of course Batsy wants to rip you into a million tiny pieces for what you're about to do," Nightwing said dryly.
The thug just grinned, his entourage of thugs joining in on the laughter, "I'm going to blow you to pieces Nightwing, let's see you laugh then."
He leveled a gun at Nightwing's head. Damian thrashed on his bonds."You're going to be so sorry," he growled.
"Not in the least kiddo."
His finger twitched on the trigger and a massive bang! resounded in the warehouse. But strangely enough, instead of a bullet exploding through Nightwing's skull, the locked wooden doors of the warehouse blew open. A cloud of smoke enveloped the building.
"Alright bozos, I'm only gonna say this once. Hand over my friends before I beat the living hell out of you!"
Lyn's voice bellowed through the room, followed by an angry neigh.
...
Lyn Walker~
If I lived through tonight, Bats was going to kill me.As it was, my entourage and I leaped through a screen of smoke and emerged into the fray kicking and screaming. Tuffy shot away from us instantly, locating Nightwing and Robin before I could spot them.
The confusion allowed her to blast though several men and rear up with a shriek towards the man holding a gun aimed at my friends. The realization of what had nearly just happened put me into action.
I whipped out my bo staff and steered Sitdka into the quickly resuming situation.
...Damian~
Tuffy smashed her front hooves into the lead man's chest before he could think to shoot. He went flying and the armored mare sidled up between Robin and Nightwing like a protective guard dog. It was perfect.Damian used her back to stand up on, giving him the ability to finally loosen the stress on his hands and wrists. This accomplished, he was able to wriggle his lock picks out and get to work on the cuffs hanging him from the metal beam. Tuffy stood stock still, only pinning her ears and lashing out with her teeth at the one man who attempted to get closer.
He popped the lock and took a quick glance at the chaos surrounding them before starting on Nightwing's cuffs.
His quick assessment told him that all of the attention was on Lyn. She was astride Sitdka, almost unrecognizable as she maneuvered the grey gelding and smashed the end of her bo staff into whoever dared come near.
But Damian couldn't think of that right now. He concentrated on the locks on Nightwing's cuffs even as his older brother gawked at the woman beating the crap out of their captors.
