AN: This next chapter continues with the song above. If it's stuck in your head for the foreseeable future, I'm kinda sorta very sorry. If it makes you feel any better it's been stuck in my head for a couple of months now...

...

The moment we left the safety of the room, Red Hood's gun went off. The guard standing in front of us cried out in pain and slumped to the ground clasping his stomach.

The gun went off again, but this time I did t pay attention to where it hit. I whirled my bo staff out and cracked it into the man rushing from my left. He cried out and countered by raising his gun. I blocked it down with a roundhouse kick, swinging down to slam my staff under his chin. He crumpled.

Three down.

Red Hood's gun lit up the dark hall again.

-oo ee oo ah ah ting tang walla walla bing bang-

Four down. Two to go and we could get Park and Ari past us and running for the exit.

I locked my staff into a shorter position to better swing in the close quarters, electrifying the end in the process. Kneeing a black clad guard in the groin, I swung the end of the staff into his chest, discharging a massive burst of electricity into him. Despite this, he gripped my staff and pulled my body into his. A fist connected with the side of my head and I yelped.

-oo ee oo ah ah ting tang walla walla Bing bang-

Blinding pain erupted from my skull. Red Hood's gun went off again and a second blow echoed in my ribcage. His face was inches from mine, eyes alight with sadistic rage. Oh hell- I tried to pull back but couldn't get out of his grasp-

A leather clad fist smashed the man's face and the crazy glint left his eyes. He let go of me and crumpled backwards. I gasped and stood straight before nodding to Red Hood.

"Thanks-"

"No time Nightrider, we've got to move!"

Shouts echoed down he end of the hall and i understood what it was he meant. Pain blazing in my ribs and head, and insane song playing like a theme to madness, I yelled to my friends.
"Here we go!"

Red Hood pulled out his other gun and broke into a sprint down the hall.

Dang, this was going to suck.

We sprinted behind him, the labs opening up in front of us after a couple twists and turns of the hall. Our explosion into the main area revealed two things.
The plan of Park and Ari making it past and out the window was going to work- and Red Hood and I had at least six more guys to beat the crap out of.

While I was deliberating, my partner wasted no time. His guns came up and cracked out two shots. I flung myself at the next guy, this time making sure my staff clocked him too quickly for a grab.

From the corner of my eye I saw Park and Ari bullet past our new adversaries and down the other hall. One of the armed men saw and turned to follow, but I whirled around and discharged the voltage of my staff straight into his more... dainty bits.

He collapsed with a scream.

Someone else grabbed me from behind; however, this time I was thinking better and I brought my elbow careening back into their gut as I whirled to sock him with a right hook. Red Hood's fight was going similarly, and he slammed a kick into another guy's chest before shooting. No one managed to follow my friends down the other hall.

As long as we could get them out of the building, we were home free.

"Red!" I yelled. "They're out! We gotta go!" I cracked my staff into another guy.
