Chapter 11: The New Captain

Drix's POV:

It's a Monday. It means another week of school.

I picked up Nicole from her place and off we went to school.

When we came there, may kung anong kaguluhan sa tapat ng classroom namin. O_O

Me: What the heck is happening here? O_O

Nicole: Let's go see!

There's a large crowd of girls in front of the classroom and it seems like they're flocking over something... Or should I say, someone. O_o

I can't believe what I'm seeing. But, it's happening. Carlo is being mobbed by hundreds of girls (that hundred is an exaggeration, but it feels like it).

And Carlo, of all things, hates being mobbed. Buti na lang at kasama nya sina Martin at JL. At mukhang natuwa pa si Martin. Pagkakataon na naman nyang manchicks. -__-

I rushed to help him get out of there, but to no avail. Lalo silang nagkagulo nung nakita nila ako. O_O

"Waaah! Kumpleto na sila! X3"

"Papa Martin, please be mine!"

"Ang galing mo magbasketball, Prince Carlo!"

"Congrats po pala sa pagiging captain, Prince Carlo!"

O__O

What did she say? Carlo is what? O_O

Napatigil ako sa gitna ng crowd. I was stunned by what I heard. But then, I remembered Darwin promising Carlo that he'd be the new captain if he wins. Did he really mean it? I mean, we were just out there to support our friend and make sure he doesn't get kicked out. I never expected him to keep his end of the bargain. Huh... Surprising.

I snapped back to reality when the crowd was now shouting my name.

"Prince Drix, can I be your GF?"

"Prince Drix, love me!"

What the heck are these people saying?

We have to get outta here.

I slipped through the crowd in an instant. Guess martial arts training has paid off. :D

I helped Martin and JL get Carlo out of the place.

We finally entered the classroom. And to keep the girls out, we had to lock the door.

Oh, man. That was stressful. -__-

Nicole: You okay?

Me: You think I'm okay?

Nicole clammed her mouth. I felt bad for shouting at her.

Me: Sorry.

Nicole: It's okay.

Genny: What is going on outside?

JL: Pinagkakaguluhan tong si Carlo, since sya na ang bagong captain ng basketball team.

Martin: At di namin magets kung bakit kami pinagkakaguluhan din. Prince pa nga ang tawag satin eh.

JL: Ahsus. Alam naman natin na you enjoy their company. XD

Martin: Hindi naman ako nagcocomplain. Eto naman talaga gusto ko eh. :D

Typical Martin. Pinagdarasal ko talaga na someday, he'll find his match.

Angie: Ikaw talaga, Martin. Puro babae na lang ang inatupag.

Martin: Oh sya, sorry na po...

Haha. I never thought Martin would be scared of a smaller girl. :D

Well, that girl IS boyish, so maybe that can be considered scary. :/

Carlo let out a sigh. He didn't expect this to happen. Suddenly, someone entered our room, which surprised me because I locked the door. O_O

It's the coach of the Basketball team.

Coach: Sino si Carlo De Jesus?

Woah. Mabalasik ang boses ni coach. It's kinda intimidating. O_o

Carlo stood up.

Carlo: Ako po yun, sir.

Coach: Be at the gym after your class. As the new captain, we have to meet about the team.

So, it is true! Carlo is the new captain of the basketball team! O__O

Carlo's POV:

(After classes)

Dumeretso ako sa gym para sa meeting na sinabi ni Coach Ryan.

Kinakabahan ako. -__-

Haaayyy... Ang gusto ko lang naman ay wag makick out.

Let's get this over with. T-T

Sumama pa rin sina Drix papuntang gym. Pagdating doon, nakita ko si Coach, with a deep scowl written on his face. Nakakakilabot. -__-

He turned to look at us. Napansin nya yata yung malakas na yabag namin.

His scowl disappeared kaya narelieve ako.

Coach: De Jesus! Buti't dumating ka.

Ako: Coach, cencia na at late ako. Hope you don't mind my friends in here.

Coach: No, no. I don't mind. Anyway, we have to talk about the team.

And with that, hinila na nya ako, at nag-usap na kami for almost an hour.

And I was so surprised with what I heard.

Me: Really? O__O

Carlo is now captain, and Coach talked to him about the team.

Ano kaya pinag-usapan nila?

Bakit kaya surprised si Carlo?
