Chapter 13: Getting to Know Al

3rd Person's POV:

Boss: Yan ang instructions ko. Do the deed. Take them down.

The boss gave a picture to the hitman. The hitman understood what he needed to do.

Hitman: Alright, boss. Leave it to me.

Boss: Good. Once they're dead, I'll double your pay.

The hitman nodded then left the Boss' office.

The hitman looked again at the picture.

Hitman: Huh. What a young bunch?

Drix's POV:

Friday. Wow. Time flies so fast.

Gala daw ulit kami, but this time, Carlo's not with us. He has practice so after class, he has to go to the gym. Haay. We miss that guy. Al joined our little escapade. Sadly, sa kabilang section sya. So, every break time at labasan, dun lang kami nagkakasama-sama. And here we are... We are going back to MOA.

We seemed to have fallen in love with this place. Haha.

This time we just ate at a fast food joint. Laughing, chatting, and watching JL and Bel or Martin and Angie banter .

And it seems like Al can cope up to our stupidity.

Nicole: I really feel that I've seen this guy before. I don't trust him. -___-

Nicole and I have been talking about this since we got to MOA.

Me: Oh, come on. Tinulungan nya tayo di ba? Just give him a chance. You're judging him by mere instincts.

Nicole: Well, my instincts are always right.

I just shook my head. Kanina pa nya sinasabi yan.

Nicole: Oh yeah. Thanks for helping me find a place to live in. :)

Me: Don't mention it.

I smiled. She's really like her.

"I know it will rain, Karly."
"Huh? Hindi kaya. Maaraw oh."
"Yes, it will rain. I just know it!"

Al: Hui, Drix. Kanina ka pa nakatitig kay Nics oh. Baka matunaw yan. Hahaha.

I looked at Al and also noticed everyone looking at us. Kanina pa ba ko nakatitig sa kanya? O__O

Me: Huh? Uhm...

What am I supposed to say?

Nicole just looked away, and... Is she blushing?

Must be her cold. Kahapon pa sya may sipon eh.

Genny: Ooh! By the way. Al, where do you live?

Al: I'm living quite far from school. Pero, namamanage ko naman.

Genny: Are you a fresh graduate?

Al: Yes, I am. Actually, sa BenU ako grumaduate ng high school.

Genny: Oh. Bakit education ang pinili mo? I heard that you're good with computers.

Al: Well, mas gusto ko history. At tsaka isa pa, andaming computer geeks sa family namin. So, I chose to be a teacher. Our company will survive even if I don't run it.

Genny: Ano ba business ng family nyo?

Al: We run a computer factory.

Hold on, since when did Genny become so interrogative?

Me: Hey, Genny. What's with the questions?

Genny: What? Gusto ko lang makilala sya ng lubusan. Is there a problem?

Really? How come you didn't interrogate us when we first met?

Me: Never mind.

After 2 more hours of stay in the mall, we went to our homes.

I came to the house, where it's awfully quiet.

Maybe I should really get a dog. -__-

Skype time with my sister. :)

Around this time of the night, she's online.

I changed to my usual house clothes: Jersey shorts and a plain white shirt.

I opened Skype and called Kayla.

Kayla: Hi, big bro! :D

Woah. She's all smiles. Bakit kaya?

Me: Hey, little sis. Ang saya mo ata ngayon ah.

Kayla: Haha. Is there something wrong with being happy? :)

Me: No, but you're not usually like that. And I'm getting creeped out.

Kayla: Well, you see, Mom and Dad had a business trip here in New York. Dumaan sila kanina dito. :D

Oh. So, that's why.

Me: Good. Did they talk about anything?

Kayla: Not really. Dumaan lang sila dito.para tingnan kung okay ako. :)

Compared to Kayla, hindi kami close ng parents ko. Even as kids, Kayla received more attention than I did. Don't get me wrong. I love my parents, pero hindi lang talaga kami close. They would always tell me to protect my sister.

Despite her receiving more attention, I still love my sister. Prinsesa sya ng pamilya at hindi ko hahayaan na may mangyari sa kanya.

Kayla: So how about you? May good stuff or bad stuff ba na nangyari ngayon? :)

Me: Well, yeah. Nakursunadahan ulit kami pero may tumulong samin. And the guy who helped us became our friend.

Kayla: Really? What's his name?

Me: Allan... Allan Villaverde.

Kayla: Villaverde? Hey, Dad mentioned that he has a meeting with a Mr. Villaverde.

Me: So?

Kayla: Nabanggit sa kanya na may anak sya na nag-aaral sa BenU. Baka sya yun. :)

Me: Hmm... I'll go ask him.

We moved to other topics. We stayed chatting for another hour. Then I went to sleep.
