Chapter 17: Friends?

Genny's POV:

I'm here right now at school. Nakapagdismiss na kami ng klase, pero may meeting pa ang mga class presidents kasama ang chairman ng student council.

(Author's note: SCP stands for student council president.)

SCP: Alright. The student council came up with a contest. Each section president within the Education department are to find representatives to write down an original love song to be performed at the school's foundation week.

Hmmm... Mukhang masaya to ah. And I think I know who to pick.

SCP: A total of 5 representatives per section is the maximum. Any genre can be used as long as the song talks about love.

Hindi na ko mag-aalala para dito. I definitely have the perfect pair to do this. :)

Narinig ko lang last week sa Entertainment news sa TV na ang "rising superstar" na si Andre Santos ay pinsan pala ni Nicole. At nireveal din ni Andre na si Drix ang writer nung isang single nya. Since may connections ako sa industry, narinig ko yung unplugged version nung song and I must say, nakakakilig sya! ;D

Suddenly, an idea popped out of my head.

Hmmm? Maybe a little test for Drix? Nyahahaha! ;)

Drix's POV:

There are times that I really wanna ask God why she gave me a twin sister as crazy as Kayla.

We've been talking for about 30 minutes in Skype and isang bagay lang ang pinag-uusapan namin. Or rather, tao. -___-

Ang ganda ganda ng bati ko sa kanya kasi good mood ako, tapos bigla ba naman akong banatan ng ganito: "When's the wedding?"

Me: Can you please stop asking me that?

Kayla: What? I'm excited to have a sister-in-law, y'know. ;D

Me: I haven't even finished my studies. Plus, ikaw tong may boyfriend. Di ba dapat ako ang nagtatanong kung kelan ang kasal mo?

I think I hit a sore spot. Her smile suddenly went away.

Me: Sorry.

Kayla: It's alright. I'll be fine.

She smiled weakly. I know what that means. She's on the verge of crying.

Me: Hey. Stay strong, alright? :)

Kayla: I know. You need to get going or you'll be late.

Oh darn. I almost forgot. I 'm supposed to pick Nicole up in about 15 minutes. Luckily, I'm a fast driver.

Me: I'll be going now. Bye, sis.

Kayla: Take care, kuya. Pakikumusta na lang ako kay sister-in-law. :D

Me: I will. -___-

And with that, umalis na ko ng bahay to pick up her "sister-in-law."

And yes, she's talking about  Nicole.

I arrived in school 20 minutes before class. May breather man lang ako. I feel washed out dahil sa dami ng babaeng humahabol sa grupo namin. Ewan ko ba sa kanila. Narinig ko na lang na nahati daw ang school sa 2 teams: our team or Darwin's team. Until now, yung so-called rivalry namin sa kanila ay nagpapatuloy.

Mas lalo pa daw lumala ang away namin sa kanila nung hinatak ni Coach Ryan si Martin to take Carlo's place as captain. Since pareho daw yung play nila ni Carlo, it would be reasonable to let him substitute as captain. In other words, hindi man lang naconsider sina Darwin. Hindi sya natuwa.
