Hello everyone! I am aware that it is the 4th of august and not the 5th, and the reason for this is because I have a busy day tomorrow so I probably wouldn't have been able to update so I thought I'd do it today instead! I made some new covers for my book and I'm not entirely sure if I like them... we'll see. Enjoy the chapter! X
"I can't belive it's almost Christmas already! It all seems to have gone so fast!" Marlene said, as she got off the train with her luggage, "I'm gonna miss you so much Lils, I'll have to visit Potter manor to come and see you."
"How did you know I was staying at Potter manor for Christmas?" Lily asked, surprised.
"Word spreads." Marlene winked, leaning into hug Lily, "Enjoy yourself, you deserve a good time." She whispered into Lily's ear, meaning every word she said.
"Thanks, Mar. Hope you enjoy yours too, and I'll see you sometime over Christmas, but I'll write to you."
"Of course you will! I'll see you later!" She shouted, running off to her parents.
Lily sighed, as James walked up behind her, handing her luggage over to her and putting his arms around her waist. "I'm gonna miss those two days away from you, love." He said into her shoulder.
I'm gonna miss you too." She said as she spun around and kissed him with all of the hope and lust she could muster, hoping that he really does understand how much she will miss him.
"I'll see you soon, I love you." She said, grabbing her luggage and taking a step back.
"Be safe, I love you too." He said back, smiling behind him and walking off to his parents, and Lily did the same.
"Lilykins!" Lily's father exclaimed, pulling her into a huge hug. "I missed you, sweetheart."
"I missed you too, dad." Lily said, as she went over to hug her mum, grinning stupidly because she was just so incredibly happy to see her parents after months.
"I'm so glad to see you honey," Lily's mum said, pulling out of the hug, "But if you don't mind me asking, who was the boy you were kissing just a moment ago?"
Lily's face immediately turned bright red, how did her parents see that? "Oh, um, that was James... my boyfriend." She said as confidently as she could.
"Is it that boy you're staying for Christmas with?" Her dad asked, "And what did he say to you?"
"Yeah... and um... he said 'be safe, I love you.'." She said the last part quietly, fiddling with the handle of her luggage.
"Do you love him, Lily?" Her mum asked her seriously in a quite voice.
"Yeah." She mumbled quietly, drawing circles with her foot on the concrete floor of the train station.
"Oh honey that's amazing." Her mum said calmly, smiling at her daughter as she looked up.
"It is." Her father joined in, "It means you're growing up."
She smiled lovingly at her parents, they were being so kind and supportive about her and James, after all, she didn't know what to expect.
"Come on, let's get you home." Mr Evans said cheerily.
Lily stared once more at the crowd as she was walking away, and somehow, she managed to spot James. Just at the perfect moment, because he'd seen her too, and winked at her, and she smiled, before he turned back to his parents.
