Hey everyone! Sorry it's not the 5th today, but I only realised yesterday how unhappy I was with the chapter so I've been editing it for quite a while now and I hope you enjoy it! <3
Petunia stormed into Lily's room without knocking and peered out of her bedroom window from behind her pale beige curtains, obviously focused on something.
"Um, do you mind?" Lily said from her desk, putting down her quill.
"There's a guy coming down our street... he's tall... With very broad shoulders..." Petunia said, raising her eyebrows, following the figures movements outside.
"Who is it?" Lily asked, rising from her seat.
"I don't know... but wow."
"You do realise that you have a boyfriend... what would he say if he saw you doing this?" Lily said, walking over to the window that Petunia was staring out of.
"He doesn't need to know." She shrugged her shoulders and brushed it off like it was nothing.
Lily stood next to her sister and pulled back her curtains to get a better view of who Petunia was staring at. She focused in on his face as he moved closer towards their house, and suddenly, it clicked.
"Oh my god!" Lily exclaimed, pulling away from the window as fast as she could, rushing down the stairs to the front door.
"Wait, Lily! Who is it?" Petunia shouted, following Lily out the front door.
Lily burst out of the front door and rushed towards the mysterious figure they were previously staring at. "James!"
He immediately spotted her and the corners of his mouth turned upwards into a grin as she flung her arms around his neck and he buried his face into her shoulder, letting Petunia walk slowly upto them, a frown forming on her face.
"It feels like it's been forever." James said, looking at her.
"Tell me about it." Lily said, breathlessly, smiling. She pulled out of the hug and grabbed hold of his hand, turning to her sister.
"Petunia, this is my boyfriend, James. James, this is my sister, Petunia." Lily introduced them as James held his hand out.
"Nice to meet you." She said, gritting her teeth together and unwillingly shaking his hand.
Whilst this was happening, James put his arm around Lily's shoulders and forcefully pulled her into his side, making her hug his waist.
She didn't mind, though. Petunia was giving off some extremely bad vibes and making the situation more intense than it needed to be, so it was no surprise to Lily that James considered her to be a threat.
"I'm off to meet Vernon." She said blankly, with no goodbye or anything, as she walked off down the street, hopped into her car and drove off.
James took both of Lily's hands into his own and kissed her with passion, both smiling as they did so.
"How the hell are you related to her?"

"Mum, this is my boyfriend, James." Lily said, as she watched two of the most important people in her world finally meet for the first time.
"It's very nice to meet you, Mrs Evans." He said softly and calmly, shaking her hand.
"It's lovely to meet you too James, I've heard a lot about you. You know, Lily's never brought home a boy before. Except from that small boy with the black greasy hair from down the street, I was never too fond of him." She said, smiling.
"I've never been too fond of him either, if I'm quite honest, Mrs Evans. We've never really got along that well."
"Would you like to stay for dinner, sweetie? Lily's father should be home soon." She said, dusting off her apron.
"I'd be honoured to stay, I've never been into a proper muggle household before, it's fascinating." James said smoothly, looking around the Evans hallway.
"Well I'm glad you think so." Mrs Evans chuckled. "Is it okay if I just have a word with Lily a moment?"
"Of course, Mrs Evans." James said politely.
"If you could just pop upstairs and Lily's room is the one to the far right."
"Okay thank you, Mrs Evans." He said, giving Lily's hand one last squeeze before trampling up the stairs.
"Oh, and James?" Mrs Evans shouted to him, as he turned around and looked at her, "It's Rose to you."
He smiled before rushing up the stairs.
Mrs Evans turned to her daughter "Oh he's a lovely young man, Lily, a real gentleman."
"Yeah, he is." Lily looked down and smiled to herself.
"He loves you, you know. He loves a lot. I could tell by the way he was looking at you." Lily looked up at her mother, as she smiled at her, "Don't let him go."
"I love him too. And I don't think there's any chance I'll be letting him go." Lily said, embracing her mum in a loving hug.
"Now go and see him! I bet he's missed you!"
"Okay, thanks mum." She said as she kissed her mother on the cheek and rushed up stairs to see James.
She walked into her bedroom to see him tracing his finger against the pale pink border on the wall in her room, and she could tell he'd been looking around.
"I missed you so much." She said, slowly and walking over to sit on her bed.
"I missed you too." He placed a hand softly onto her cheek and started to kiss her like he hadn't seen her in two years, let alone two days. He pushed her back so she was laying down on her bed, her arms around his neck as the kiss became more and more intense by the second.
"James," Lily tried to say between kisses, "What if someone walks in? The doors open."
But James didn't care. He didn't even reply. She knew straight after she'd tried to say it that it was stupid, because frankly, she didn't care either. They just carried on kissing, like nothing else was happening, and that was it.
