I know I shouldn't be feeling this bad but I do. Its just eating away at me little by little. I yelled at Michael when I had no real reason to. He probably doesn't even want to talk to me right now.
I was tired from overthinking too much. I decided to drive my car to school today since Gregg and I aren't currently speaking.
After putting my stuff in locker, I was set to find Michael and apologize. I decided to head over to his locker.
The funny thing is, I don't know where his locker is. I mean, why should I? It's not like he's my boyfriend or anything.
Gregg.
I faced palmed my forehead. I completely forgot to text him back.
I'll just find him later.
I continued on my quest to find Michael. After turning a few corners, I finally spotted him. He was surround around his group of handsome friends by his locker.
They seemed to be talking about something but as I approached closer, they stopped talking. All eyes landed on me.
"Michael..." I said suddenly feeling nervous. "Can I talk to you for a second?"
"Talk." He said leaning against a locker with his arms crossed.
Did he really expect me to apologize to him in front of his delinquent friends?
Umm..."
He raised a brow looking slightly amused. "What's wrong sweetheart? Cat got your tongue?"
"No!" I said folding my arms. "I just wanted to apologize for yesterday. I was way out of line."
He shrugged his shoulders."Whatever."
"Whatever?" I asked with my both fists on my sides. "That's all you have to say?"
I watch him and his buddies each share a similar look.
"Come on guys." Michael said nudging one of his friends. "Let's bounce."
He left me in the hallway gapping at his retreating form.
Asshole.
I quickly spun around on my heels and walked to my first period class. I was almost there when I felt someone pull my arm.
"Babe?" Gregg said. I was so sure it was him because I've known that voice for years.
I turned around to face him. His face told it all. It was full of regret and he looked so stressed. It almost made me feel bad about our petty fight.
Almost.
He wouldn't even tell me what made him so busy and then he got all defensive about it. What could he possibly be hiding?
"What is it?" I asked looking at my manicured nails. They were sky blue. My favorite color. Actually my favorite color is lime green... It's the best color in the-
"...And I'm sorry."
After hearing those three words my eyebrows shot up. I guess I did kind of zone out.
