My eyes speedily scanned the cafeteria around until my gaze landed on specific asshole.
Michael Vincent Keller.
I stormed over to where he was sitting fuming with anger.
"...Yeah, dude and I was totally going to invite her over later for Netflix and chill. The Netflix selection is trash. That's why people just start fu-"
"Um excuse me," I said rudely to Michael, completely interrupting what the blonde hair boy was saying. I remembered meeting him but I couldn't remember his name at the moment.
"Can I help you?" He raised a brow, folding his arms.
"I need to talk to you. Now."
"It can't wait until next period?"
"No. I want to talk to you now."
"You better go now man, you don't keep an angry girl waiting." Blonde inputed. "Especially if she's your mother or your girlfriend."
"Shut up Dean." Michael said punching him in his arm. "I'll talk to you guys later."
He got up from his seat and did that little weird handshake thing with Dean and the quiet one, I still didn't know his name, before leaving with me out of the cafeteria.
"Okay what was so important that couldn't wait until next period?" He asked expectantly.
"You didn't pick me up this morning to school." I glared at him. "Why?"
He furrowed his eyebrows and he frowned. "You wanted to talk to me about not picking you up this morning? You've got to be kidding me?!"
"No I'm not 'kidding' you. I was literally waiting in front of my buildings waiting for you to pick me up. I tried to call you but it kept sending me to voicemail. If you weren't going to give me a ride today, a little heads up would've been nice."
"Yeah, well I didn't so, are we done here?" He snapped.
"What's wrong with you?"
"Nothing. I think there's something wrong with you though."
"I'm perfectly fine." I said defensively.
"Are you? You're getting mad over the simplest things." His voice elevated.
"I was late to school because you didn't have the decency to tell me you weren't coming to get me." I said raising my voice as well.
"Why does it bother you so much?"
"Because I'm your girlfriend." The words flew out my mouth before I could stop them. My eyes went wide at my reply.
Shit.
"You're my fake girlfriend. Remember? We had an agreement." He wore a bored expression, but I could've sworn another emotion flashed through his eyes.
His words finally sunk in and I felt like I was hit with a thousand bricks. "Yeah...Right. Fake girlfriend." I said trailing off.
He rose his eyebrow. "Paige you're not-"
"What?! No, no, no!" I said cutting him off. "Oh god, no Michael. Come on now. You're not even my type." I scoffed.
I hope I sounded convincing because there was no way on the lords green earth that he was going to find out about my fleeting crush on him.
His face fell, completely making me regret my words. "Whatever." He spun around quickly on his heels and headed back into the cafeteria.
Why do I say these things? Ugh!
