I felt the sunshine on my face that came through my window. What a nice today to sleep in.

"Paige I have been calling you for the past twenty five minutes! Wake up."  My mom said while shaking me.

"Just five more minutes mom." I mumbled under my pillow.

There are two types of people in this world and let me tell you, I am definitely not a morning person. I am the type of person who will sleep until noon if I could. If human hibernation was a thing, you wouldn't see me until a couple of weeks or maybe more.

My mother sighed and left the room and came back with a bowl of ice cold water. After one more failed attempt of trying to wake me up, my bed and I were completely soaked with water.

"What'd you do that for?!" I screamed.

I frantically looked around for Gregg. He wasn't here. I wonder when he left.

"Go get ready for school Paige. Geez. I shouldn't have to wake you up for school. You're old enough to set you're own alarm. Be more responsible." My mom said sounding annoyed on her way out of my room.

Its not like she's the one soaked in ice cold water,  why is she so upset?

I rolled over to get a better look at my clock on the night stand. 8:15. Crap. I only have ten minutes to get ready.

I quickly shot up out of my bed and I managed to do my hair decently, my makeup and put on a cute dress with flats for school.

"Excuse me miss? Can I get your number? Cause you are smoking hot." I said to my reflection in the mirror. I can be so weird sometimes, I just can't help myself.

I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket and I pulled it out to read it. It was from Gregg.

I'm sorry I wasn't there to see you wake up, Babe. Meet me downstairs in the lobby and I'll drive you to school.

I hurried as I made my way from my room to the kitchen and I was then greeted by my mom and her delicious cooking.

"Well don't you look all dolled up today. Is Gregg going to school today? He seems like a decent, respectable young man."

I blushed as I took a bite out of a homemade strawberry waffle from the plate in front of me. "Yes mom he is. But I'm also dressed up for myself too, you know. Can't a girl look cute for herself?"

"Sure they can." My mom said. "That's just not the case with you."

"Whatever mom. Gregg's  picking me up to drive me to school so I'm going to head downstairs to meet him."

"Of course, Honeybuns. I love you." My mom said.

"I love you too mom." I replied as I left the apartment.

I walked down at least 9 flights of stairs until I finally reached the lobby. I looked around for Gregg and then immediately spotted him. He was wearing a plain black tee and cargo pants. He looked so cute today.

"Hey babe." I say as I walked over to hug him.

"Hey love." Gregg said before he kissed me. "You look beautiful today." He said pushing a few strands that came loose from my pony tail.

"Thank you." I said standing on my tippy toes to kiss him on his cheek. "I was thinking the same thing about you."

After a few minutes passed of us just talking, we made our way to his car and drove to school.

"Soo.." I said, when the school came into view, "Can you come over to my house later so we can hang out?"
