15. Jason Is Heavier Than Hagrid

The knocking on the bathroom door pulls me out of my thoughts as I lay on the floor, my head on my knees, the water drained from my body as I cry.

The tears have dried up on my face and to think that I'd feel better about it after writing down my thoughts was one of the worst decisions of my life.

If anything, it makes me feel worse. In the past hour, my heart broke about a million times and it took all my will power to not do something stupid.

"Go away! Leave me alone," I yell at whoever is outside the door. It's probably Anna or Kay, worrying over me after I ran out of class.

"Hot, sexy, tall, handsome, good looking, drool-worthy body, six pack abs that are soon going to be joined by two more babies to make it eight-"

"What. The. Hell... Jason?" I ask, momentarily forgetting about all of my problems.

"Yeah, it's me. No girl has ever rejected Jason Fray. And his own sister tells him to go away. Tsk-tsk not working baby. Oh my goodness, that rhymes! I always knew I had the talent but I never put it to use-"

"Gosh, Jason what the hell are you doing here?"

His voice suddenly becomes soft. "Mads, are you okay?"

I can picture him running his fingers through his hair and shuffling on his feet as he says those words. Even though he tries to be funny, his worry and concern is obvious.

"I'm fine," I lie,"Don't you have lecture right now?"

"Yeah but the moment I got the text message, I told Professor Coltrane that I needed to use the washroom and came running here instead."

"And what happens when he finds out that you came to the girls dorm and lied to him?" I ask, unlatching the door.

"I get punished. Maybe get kicked out of the football team-"

"WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU JASON CHRISTIAN FR-AHHHH" I scream as Jason who had been resting with his back to the door, falls on me as I open it and we go crashing to the ground.

"GET-OFF-ME-YOU-FATASS-GIANT-TITAN-EVEN HAGRID WILL BE LIGHTER THAN YOU GOSH-"

"Seriously?" He mutters as he gets off me, "Thats the most exaggerated statement EVER."

I breathe heavily and look up at him, incredulously. "What are you? 300 pounds?? I think I broke my back!!" I say trying to sit up straight and a searing pain makes its way up my spine.

"No girl ever complained about my weight when we-"

"EW STOP STOP STOP." I say not wanting to hear any more of my brother's wild stories.

"OW-" I yelp, trying to stand up but Jason just lifts me off the ground, like I'm weightless and plops me on my bed.

Can't imagine how many girls must be dying to be in my position right now.

He positions the pillow and sits next to me as I try to make myself comfortable.

"My back wasn't that bad you know. I could have walked-"

"What's wrong, Mads?" He interrupts me, furrowing his eyebrows and taking my hand in his.

"H-How did you find out-" I begin to ask and he shakes his head.

"It doesn't matter. What happened?"

I take a deep breath and bite my lip in a desperate attempt to stop myself from breaking down again.
