Ring. Ring. Ring.

I looked at my phone it was Y/N. I smiled and picks it up.

"Hello?" I answered. I waited for her beautiful voice.

"Hey babe!"

"Hey! How is shopping going?"

"Good. I wish you were here."

"Me too. I have a lot of homework. If I finish I can come over and you can show me everything you bought."

"Okay!"

"Well if we want to that I have to go."

"Alright. Bye I love you."

"I love you too."

I hung up and began to work. I was trying my best to get my work done. It wasn't but 30 minutes and my phone began to ring. I ignored it and I got called again. I stopped and looked at the number.

The hospital?

I answered it.

"Hello?"

"Is this H/N?"

"Yes."

"We have a Y/N here. We called her parents M/N and D/N, but they said they were out of town and trying there best to get back. They told us to call you."

"O-okay I'll be there soon." I quickly ran downstairs and got my car keys.

I sped down the road. Is she okay? What happened? I arrived at the hospital and ran in.

"Hi I'm H/N and I'm here for Y/N."

"Could I have her last name?"

"Y/L/N."

"Okay she is in room 16 on floor 4."

"Okay thanks."

I ran to the elevator. That was the slowest elevator I thing I have ever came across. I reached floor 4 and looked for her room. I could feel my heartbeat in my ears.

Room 16 was in front of me. I was scared to open the door and see her. I wanted to walk in a see her perfectly okay. Maybe with one tiny scratch. I took a deep breath and opened the door.

My heart sank.

"Oh my..." She was hooked up to machines. The doctor was checking her blood pressure. She was asleep.

"You must be H/N."

"Y-yes sir."

"She wouldn't stop talking about you on the way here."

"Is she okay?"

"She was beaten and bruised pretty good but she should be fine."

"What happened?"

"A lady found her bleeding on the ground near the mall parking lot."

"Oh God." I spoke under my breath.

"Don't worry son she'll be fine. She'll be in some pain when she wakes up but she'll be okay."

"Thank you."

He left and I just stood there looking at her. I walked over and pulled a chair beside her bed. I gently held her hand. She had a black eye and a busted lip. I looked at her arms and bruises were beginning to form. She had tiny cuts all on her hands and some on her face. Her leg was wrapped up.

I kissed her hand and laid my head down. If I was there this wouldn't had happened.

"I should have been with you." I spoke to myself.

"It's my fault."

"If I was there they would have hit me not her."

"It all my fault." Tears began to find there way down my cheeks.

I heard a faint sound. A hum. It was Y/N. She was humming Y/F/S. She always hummed to me when I was sad or upset. I looked up. She was looking at me smiling. She wiped the tears from my eyes.

"Y/N."

"In the flesh."

"I'm so so sorry."

"You couldn't have helped it."

"They could have hurt me not you."

"I'd take a beating for you any day."

"You shouldn't have to."

"But I love you. And like you want to protect me I want to protect you."

"I love you."

"I love you too." I kissed her hand and she laid her head back down. I really love her.
