I Want to Make Sure You're Okay

I held her hair and rubbed her back as she emptied her stomach. She held her hand out and I gave her the wash cloth. She wiped her mouth and sat back against the wall. She sniffles and tears ran down her face which I quickly wiped away.

"You should have gone tonight." She told me.

It was one of our friends birthday and they were having a party. But how could I leave my baby when she felt this bad. She was unlucky enough to catch the flu. For the past week she's felt horrible and for the past three days she hasn't been able to keep anything down.

"I couldn't leave knowing how sick you were. I want to know you're okay." I stated.

"Well I look horrible and you just saw me throw up my dinner you could have had a more fun night then this."

"Well you look beautiful to me."

She smiled but I quickly faded as she quickly leaned over the toilet. I took her hair and rubbed up and down her back.
She finished and leaned against my chest.

"You've been doing this for past hour." I played with her hair," Think your almost done?"

"Yeah I feel better." I stood up and picked her up.

She giggled," I can walk ya know."

"I know." He laughed back.

I sat her on the counter and we brushed our teeth. Once we were done I picked her back up and carried her to bed. She snuggled under the covers as I got a trash can and a bag just in case she starts to feel sick again.

I climbed in beside her feel her shiver because of her fever.

"H/N I really love you." She told me.

"Y/N I really love you." I kissed the back of her head as I traced patterns on her side.

Not long I could hear her soft, sweet snores. Knowing she was asleep I let myself fall asleep.
