Game Day

You were nervous and excited at the same time. Soccer had started back and you were so pumped to be playing again. H/N was coming out to see you play today which made it even better. You were goalkeeper which made you kinda nervous. If you didn't play your best then the other team could score who know how many goals!

The coach huddled the team up and discussed the plan.

"On three break... 1 2 3 break!" you all filed out to the field.

You looked to the bleachers looking for H/N. You spotted him and waved. He immediately perked up and wave back with a big smile. The game started and you were on a roll! Blocking every single ball that came your way! You could tell on of the girls on the other team began to get frustrated. She huffed and puffed each time you blocked her shot. H/N was cheering and screaming your name throughout the game.

You stood ready to take whatever was going to come. You watched the girl get the ball and start down the field. You could hear her coach yelling for her to pass it but she wasn't paying him attention. She raced down the field, towards you. You watched her kick the ball with every ounce of strength she had. She wasn't going to get off that easy. You quickly lunged towards the ball. Mid air the ball hit you in the throat. There was so much power in her kick it made you fly back a bit. You hit the ground hard.

You were gasping for air but couldn't get any.  

"Y/N?" You heard H/N call." Y/N!"

You continued to try to breathe but you couldn't. You felt to strong arms wrap around you and pull you close.

"Y/N baby? Are you okay?"

"I... c-can't.... breathe-e..." You struggled to get the words out.

Soon it began to get dark. everything was fuzzy and sound were muffled. You heard H/N yell out something but you couldn't make it out. The last thing you remember is being carried and the everything was dark.

You woke up but kept your eyes closed. You could feel sheets underneath you. Reaching you to your face you felt a mask covering your nose and mouth. Opening your eyes you saw H/N Sitting in the chair close to your bed bouncing his bed. He's worrying like he always is.

"H/N?" you crook.

He looked up at you and scooted his chair closer.

"Hey baby. How are you feeling?" He stoked the back of you hand.

"Tired." you tried to take a long breath but ended up coughing up your lungs.

"Take it easy."

"What happened?"

"Well one of the girls on the other kicked the ball and you jumped to block it and when you did his hit you in the throat really hard. You passed out because you could breathe. We brought you to the hospital and they got you breathing again. Your parents are eating dinner now. I told them I could watch you." He was rubbing you arm.

He always had a way to keep you calm and feel safe. No matter the situation.

"I do have one question."

"And what would that be my love?"

"Did I block her shot?"

H/N smiled and nodded his head," Yes Y/N. Yes you did."

"Good!" you both laughed.
